Memories began flooding back. Places I'd been, people I'd met, Even people I had been. Egypt, Rome, Paris, my head was burning with all this new information.

My eyes shot open as I felt a cool hand in my forehead. "She's awake" I heard a voice say.

"Where am I," I asked trying to take in my surroundings. There were white walls, a white tile floor and various beeping noises. I looked up and saw a man, around twenty years old, wearing a white coat and taking notes. He had short brown hair, tan skin and sky blue eyes. He wore a weird amulet around his neck.

"How are you feeling?" He asked in a gruff voice.

"Fine," I replied "I have a small pain in my head but nothing I can't handle."

"Well Violet you have us quite a scare. You came into us in such an awful state."

"What do you mean?"

"Well you were drifting in and out of consciousness screaming that your head was burning. You seemed to be in a lot if pain."

Suddenly I remembered it all. Emanuel, my party everything. "What day is it?" I asked

"Excuse me?"

"What day is it?" I said slowly, sounding out each syllable for him.

"Tuesday, why?"

"Son of a bitch!" I whispered under my breath. I'd been out cold for two days. "Where's my mom?"

"Outside filling out some paperwork. Would you like to see her?"

"No I want to go unicorn hunting with her, what the fuck do you think?"

The doctor walked out of the room chuckling, "Looks like you're feeling a lot better."

While he called my mother I couldn't stop thinking about what has happened. I knew that getting your Essence back was painful but never did I think it would have this kind of effect. Wait how did I know that?! It felt like I was back in Egypt in the 1950s after I was bit by that camel. Although it didn't take long for me to heal, considering I'm an angel and all. How the fuck did I know that too? And how the fuck was I in Egypt in the 1950s when I wasn't even born until 1995?

"Oh Violet!" Cried my mother as she walked through the open door. Her face was tear stained and her eyes were puffy. I could tell she'd been crying recently.

"Hi mom," I smiled.

"Enjoy the unicorn hunting," said the doctor from the doorway (I was thinking of calling him Doctor Who)

"Unicorn hunting........?" Asked my mother confused.

"It's an inside joke between myself and Violet,"

"Ah that explains it then, Violet is a little on the strange side."

"Mom!" I whined "You can't just call me strange in front if my doctor!"

Doctor Who chuckled and said "I'll call you in about five minutes when visiting hours are over," before leaving us to talk privately.

"Why do you have to do something every year?" Sighed my mother.

"I don't do something every year!" I protested.

"Really? Last year broken hand, year before broken foot, year before that stitches, need I go on?"

"Oh ya I'd forgotten about that. So what happened to me this time?"

"I don't know, I went to look for you and Cassidy said you were outside so when I went to look you were in the ground writhing in pain. You gave me such fright."

"I'm sorry mom," I said patting her hand.

Just then Doctor Who came in and informed us that visiting hours were over.

"Thank you Doctor Sambora I'll just be a minute," replied my mother.

"That's fine Evelyn and I told you to call me Richie," said Doctor Sambora.

"Wait a second!" I said before he left "Your name is Richie Sambora?"

"Uh ya," he answered laughing "My parents were big Bon Jovi fans,"

"Wow and I thought my name was fucked up,"

"Violet!" Scolded my mother.

"Well it is! I mean naming me after a flower is fine but naming me after the colour of my eyes? It's just mean!"

"I'll see you tomorrow," said my mother as she left.

As the door closed I decided to get some more sleep and drifted off, thinking of Emanuel.
