~Two Years Later; Present Time~
Kaneki's POV
"You seriously think that she looked like (Y/n)-san? She looked nothing like her at all! You've gotta let her go. She left us when we were in for second year of high school. For all we know, she's dead, or worse.."
"You don't have to be like that, you know. And knowing her, she's probably alive.. (Y/n)-chan is pretty strong."
Hide and I were currently leaving Anteiku and talking. And when our waiter came, she looked a lot like (Y/n). I used to have a crush on her due to her always standing up for me and caring. She was sweet and kind, but once I was going to tell her how I felt, she announced that she was leaving. Hide and I were disappointed since we all met one another in elementary school. But, we eventually lost contact with her five years ago.
"Whatever you say man.. Either way, you should talk to that waiter we had today. I hear that she runs a dance studio not far from here. It's popular." Hide suggested.
"A dance studio? She seems like she's around our age, how is she able to have a dance studio that's popu-"
"Kaneki, you think too much! Anyways, we're going to that dance studio after we get help from a friend of mine.." Hide cut me off. I sighed and nodded, accepting what's going to happen.
As we were walking towards Hide's friend, he stopped in front of me.
"You know.. (Y/n)-san would've been happy to see us here. But she would've been worried sick on you missing days. Out of respect for (Y/n)-san, you can come to me with help if anything is bothering you.. She would've tried to get it out of you by begging, knowing her. And with you looking pale isn't helping at all.. You gotta eat or else you'll ruin your health.." Hide told me, having both his hands behind his head.
"I will, Hide.. Sorry for worrying you.." I told him, smiling softly.
He's odd in some ways.. He can be a sharp-witted person at times, like (Y/n)-san. Pretending not to notice a things, out of concern for me. If I were to stop being human..will Hide and I be able to walk together again..? I thought.
"Good! Anyways, we're here. Pardon the intrusion!"
"He-hey! At least knock first!" I told him.
Then a woman screams, running out the room that belonged to Mr. Nishio.
"Hey.. Could've have you at least knocked first..?" Mr. Nishio told Hide.
"Sorry, Mr. Nishio. It won't happen again.."
"There's nothing more I hate than someone trespassing my territory.."
"Oh.. Anyways, this is Kaneki! One of my friends that I wanted you to meet."
My eyes widen as he turned around to face us.
No.. No way! He's the one that attacked me a couple nights ago!
He got up and walked towards me. "You don't say.. It's nice to meet you. I'm Nishio Nishiki, second year for the School of Pharmacy.." He got close to my ear. "Good to meet you, Kaneki.. Anyways, you wanted last year materials?" Mr. Nishio asked Hide.
"Yeah.. I wanted to see the retail data." Hide answered.
"Where is it..? Aw man..! I think it's at my house!"
"Seriously?!"
Mr. Nishio nodded. "Say Nagachika.. Why won't we go grab it at my place?" He asked.
