As soon as the bell rang, I bolted to the door.

But not before Sam got there... before me.

She swayed her hips slowly out into the hallway, beside Hazel, who was looking left to right, unsure of where to go. I turned to the left knowing exactly where our next class would be, and I had to get there first to save a seat for Jobe before my best friend and the devil stole the only good seats.

I began to walk when Hazel caught on that we have next period together and started to drag Sam with her. As we wealked, I was completely aware that every boy in the hallway, even the taken ones, where oggling. The worst part was that they were no longer oggling at me, but at... you guessed it.

Sam.

She smiled innocently as she talked to Hazel, and as the boys checked her out one by one. The one thing that astounded me that Hazel was about as oblivious as Sam was to the effect she was having on Longworth High. All the girls that had seen her this morning were giving her the exact same looks I had been giving her throughout the time that I had met her; jealousy, yearning, enviously. I hated that I felt that way. No one made me feel that way! I was freaking Caydence Hall!!!

We finally arrived at second period math, with Mr. Webster. I walked in to see that Jobe had saved a seat for me. I walked over, a smug smile on my face as there weren't any more spaces around us for Sam, although I did feel sort of sad that Hazel couldn't sit near me.

Before I sat down, I planted a big one on Jobes lips, making sure Sam could see it. Two can play this game, and technically arent I the winner because I have the boy?

''Woah, hey'' he smiled at me, his cheeks flushed. I smiled and sat down, getting out my binder and calculator from my bag. Just then the bell rang and in walked the teacher, who jumped right into the lesson. I look to the left where Hazel and Sam sat, but in between them was another one of Jobe's friends, Todd. Sam was clearly flirting with him, but what Sam didn't know was that Hazel had had a crush on Todd since... who can remember!!! She stared daggers in Sams direction, all of which she didn't notice, because she was too engulfed with Todds ring to realize it.

Maybe things won't be that bad for me.

Second period passed breezily, and next period was lunch time.

We made our way to the cafe, where the food was somewhat good but the entertainment was better. Our school had an outstanding arts program and most lunches musicians would get up on the cafetoriums stage and perform for the student body.

I grabbed a caesar salad and paid, and Jobe and I went to go sit with his buddies at a table near the front of the stage. Today a girl named Tori was up at the mic. She had won most of the Longworth High's talent shows, and had incredible pipes. She started to belt out the lyrics to a cover of 'what makes you beautiful'by one direction when in came Hazel and Sam.

''You have karaoke at your school?'' Sam questioned.

''You should totally get up there and sing!! She has awesome chords guys'' Hazel reassured everyone. Guess she was over the fact that Sam had been flirting with her one and only crush since the beginning of time.

''Ahahahah I don't know... I don't know too many people here'' Sam pondered on. I prayed she wouldn't do it.

The song finished and everyone applauded. Hazel grabbed Sams hand and dragged her on to the stage, whispered something in her ear and grabbed the mic.

''Hey there everyone! This is Samrah, but call her Sam! Shes new her, so be nice to this chicka!!!'' Hazel announced to everyone. There were scattered applause as Sam adjusted the mic to her size.

I was speechless when she began her acapella version of 'secrets'by one republic. That was one of my most favourite songs ever and now this bitch was just... angelically singing it on her first day at a brand new school!?!?

When she finished, the cafetorium errupted with applause and whistles and cat calls. ''Thanks ahahha thank you!'' she was flushed with colour when she came back towards our table. Everyone (including Jobe!!!) encouraged and praised her on how awesome her singing was. I forced a smile on my face and walked over to where she was sitting.

''Great job... do you listen to one republic alot?'' I questioned.

''Its unhealthy how much I listen to them actually'' she replied embarassingly.

Hmm interesting.
