Tentails raced through the forest as she chased the deer. A couple hours ago the foxes woke up to hunt. The problem was there was practically NOTHING to hunt. They were starving, so Tentails decided to help. She told them to stay in the den until she returned. Now she was chasing the deer she had spotted.

Finally the deer faltered, tripping on a hidden log that was not so hidden anymore. Tentails leaped over the log and tackled the deer, sitting on it. The deer was instantly crushed by the momentum and died. She then picked it up and dragged it back.

The foxes eyes bulged when they saw the deer she killed. When she dropped it, they raced over and began eating it. Or at least they tried to. Their small teeth were not made to tear open deer flesh like other hunters. So Tentails bent over and tore open a line on the chest. Bad idea.

The guts spilled all over the crisp snow, leaving redness where they hit. Tentails stepped back, wincing in disgust. But the foxes trotted over in delight and started munching on certain organs, such as the liver or intestines. Tentails suddenly snapped back into attention and picked herself around guts and foxes, stooping down and gently picking up the heart, carrying it over to the back of the deer to eat.

Why the heart, you may ask? The heart because Ninetails used to eat them, saying they helped your own heart, ensuring you a longer, more exciting life. So, why not have she try it. If Ninetails did, it must be good. Like mother like daughter, she used to say.

Tentails bit into the heart and chewed. It....... tasted fine, actually. She thought it would taste gruesome, or like other revolting things. But it was fine.

She looked up into the sky, snow coating her creamy fur with white. Two days ago she left the foxes, catching them each a hare before she left. They were sad that she left, but she had to so she could continue her quest. now she felt very close. Just one thing bothered her. Why was Amaterasu here, in Kamui? It got very cold here, especially in the winter. And here it was like a big dead end. If a big evil thing got loose here, almost everything would be trapped.

Tentails sniffed the air. something weird was happening. The village smelled deserted, and there were a couple visible tracks leading in one certain direction. Lucky for Tentails, there was a sign pointing that way. It read, To Ezufuji. Something special must be happening there. Tentails straightened herself. She'll have to go into Ezufuji, no matter what special thing was happening there.
