Lexi P.O.V.

Chapter 26

It's been two weeks since the day that Reece took me to the coffee shop, and I've been working really hard! My shifts are long but I love working there, Reece stays every ship and I'm his waitress. I bring him his dark coffee and he smiles, always the same.

Reece and I study everyday. He's actually doing very well, two Bs and the rest As. I'm so glad I'm helping Reece, he really wants to get to Oxford University and I'm tryting to make his wish possible. But I'm keeping a secret... Yesterday, a letter from Oxford University came to my house:

Ms. Alexia Collins:

We have been looking at your record from high school, it's really well. Perfect grades and attendance, that's what you have and what we have been looking for in Oxford University. We want you as a student here.

Please let us know your decision,

Thank you,

Oxford University.

That's the secret, I've been accepted to Oxford, and I decided I'm going! Though I don't want to tell Reece yet. What if he doesn't get in?! I want to wait to tell him.

I sigh and continue packing my clothes for tomorrow. I'm so happy that we are going to Ohio!!

I look at the clock and see it's already eleven P.M.

I sigh and lay on the bed, drifting into sleep.

When I wake up, a big smile is planted on my face. I'm going to Ohio!!!!

I shower and dry my hair. I put some leggings and a shirt on with my Convers. I need to be comfortable for the plane.

When I get down, my dad and Zach are already eating breakfast.

"Oh Lexi! I'm going to miss you so much" My dad tells me before I leave.

"Me too, dad" I reply, giving him a big hug.

"Take care of yourself, okay?"

"Yea, dad. Don't worry. Everything is gonna be fine"

He nods and pulls me into a hug one more time.

"Oh sis, my life is going to be so much easier without you" Zach says and I roll my eyes

"I'm going to miss you too, bro. It's only for a week though" I tell him and he smirks.

"Oh, and Zach? Don't you dare enter my room" I warn him, Zach chuckles.

I see Reece's car park in front of my house. Reece comes out of the car to help me with my luggage.

"What the heck do you have in here?" He protests.

"Clothes, make up, shoes, more clothes" I respond with a 'duh' tone.

When we get to school, (where the bus that is going to take us to the airport is) I notice a lot of people are going.

Including Heather. I groan when I see her car and Reece grabs my hand, trying to comfort me.

"Calm down princess, I'm sitting with you on the plane, not with her" I hear Reece whisper in my ear.

"I'm so glad!" I reply with sarcasm.

"I know you are cupcake, I know you are.."

I roll my eyes and look for the SQUAD, I find them waiting in line to get on the bus.

"Hi! Omg, I'm so exited! I brought so much stuff and my parents gave me a lot of money so that I could buy stuff. Do you know what I'm gonna buy? You don't so I'm going to go ahead and tell you! A phone case, shirts, skirts..." Tess continues talking but I pretend I'm listening to her. I nod and smile, though I don't even know what she's talking about. I can't concentrate when I have my hand on Reece's.

"The people in the next group are: Salome, Valentina, Tyler, Ian, Tess, Lexi, Reece, April and Heather!" We hear a chaperone say. Why would they put Heather?! Is this sort of a joke?!

I put my head in my hands, Reece rubs my back.

"Just don't pay attention to her" He tells me and I nod, getting in the bus.

I sit next to Reece, who has his headphones on. I put mine on too and stare at the window.

Twenty minutes later I feel someone take my right headphone from my ear.

"Let me see what you are listening to" Reece says, putting my headphone in his ear.

"Let me see what you are listening to" I copy Reece and put his headphone in my ear.

He's listening to Panic! At The Disco, one of my favorite bands.

"I love this band! It's my favorite" I tell him

"Mine too" He answers and I smile.

We look at each other's eyes for what seems like forever, though it was just seconds.

"We have just arrived to Canada's international airport, I repeat, We have just arrived to Canada's interational airport. Please grab your luggage before leaving the bus. Thanks for riding with El Camino Charters. Have a nice trip" The woman who was driving the bus says.

Three hours, four Starbucks frapuchinos, and one Jamba Juice later; I step on the airplane. My body's shaking and my hands are sweaty, I'm really afraid of planes. I think Reece noticed...

"Don't worry, Lex. Everything is going to be fine" He tells me and I nod, though I still don't believe it.

"Lexi, look at me." Reece says lifting my chin up. " I promise, okay? Now relax, I'm gonna be there next to you all the time." He pulls me in a hug and sits in his seat, which is next to mine.

Our sits are the ones that are next to the window and only two, so we don't have to go with a stranger. April is with Ian, Tess with Tyler and Salo with Vale.

I close my eyes and sigh, though a voice interrupts my thoughts.

"There is one seat left in first class, one seat left. Please report if you want it, thank you" the pilot says.

"I want it! I want it!" I hear a voice that comes from the back. I see Heather running.

Because of her high heels, she falls on the floor and everyone laughs. I giggle and Reece chuckles.

"Everyone put their seatbelt on, we are about to head off. Destination is Ohio, Columbus. No smoking on the plane. Please seatbelts on, thank you" the pilot talks again and I put my seat belt on as he said.

Reece grabs my hand. "Ready?!" He asks

"Ready" I answer and squeeze his hand.
