Hearts Reunited: A Toby 'Tobuscus' Turner Fan Fiction

In The Beginning

~Delanie's POV~ 

I awoke against Toby, cuddled up beneath a blanket. I felt a furry presence and saw Gryphon between both of us, fast asleep. I flashed my eyes over Toby's face, taking in every detail. He was probably the most beautiful person asleep. Toby looked so peaceful that I didn't even want to breathe, afraid that I would wake him up. 

"Toby.. I love you." I leaned over Grypzor gently and kissed the tip of his nose, and I saw the edge of his lips curl into a smile. 

"I remember the first time you kissed me." He whispered, opening his eyes slowly. It was like I was falling in love with him all over again. The color of his eyes were the color of Amber, which to me was the most beautiful color to look into. Toby smiled, his eyes lightning with the smile.

"I remember the first time we actually dated."

"Oh that date.." Toby chuckled, his face turning red. 

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"It was a sunday afternoon."

"My mother just picked us both up." I added in. Toby booped my nose with his finger and then put it to my lips. He wanted to tell the story. 

"I took you out to Farrells. That fancy Ice cream parlor. You were beautiful in a bright red flowing shirt and skinny jeans with your combat boots." As he started describing me, his eyes lit up, colors swirling, shifting, changing. 

"You ordered the Monkey sundae depsite my protests. When it came I swear your jaw touched the booth." 

I laughed, remembering that thing. I had to eat it with my bare hands. No spoons. Whipped cream, "Hot" fudge, caramel, bananas, sprinkles.. It was pretty bad. 

"And now we're here. In bed. Together."

"And Back then we never thought this would happen. We wished it would but we knew that one day it would end."

"And it ended when you left for California." Toby looked at me then, his eyes and face darkening. 

"I'm sorry Delanie. I was foolish. I'll never leave you again. Not by choice."
