Learning to Love

~Toby's POV~

After a passed out Delanie left with Michaela and Jack, I sat on the couch. I knew they left me to resonate on what I had done, and it was working.

"Delanie.. Olga.." I knew I loved Delanie more than anything. It's been hell for me these past years.

I'm gonna call Olga right now.

"Hello?"

"Olga.. I'm breaking up with you?" My supposedly manly statement became a question.

"Toby.. You love me."

"I love Delanie more."

"The drunk girl who almost broke my door?"

"She's.. She's only been this way after I left her to move here."

"Right.. Bye Toby." She hung up and instead of feeling heavy, I felt light. Free. Delanie.. Delanie could be mine now. I texted Michaela.

'I broke up with OK.'

'That's nice. That won't get the AL out of D's system.'

'Mick.. I'm sorry 4 what I did.'

'I understand. Now I gtg b4 Doc wakes up. Ttyl.'

I just put my phone in my pocket. I still feel horrible, so I decided to go to Jacks house to visit her.

~Delanie's POV~

"Delanie.. Delanie wake up."

I slowly opened my eyes to see rainbows and Nyan cat flying across my field of vision. Michaela and Jack were in the background however, so I could understand what was going on.

"You need to stop doing this to yourself." Jack said to me. He was holding my hand.

"I know I do.." My speech wasn't slurred, but it was hard to talk.

"She's better than she usually is." Michaela bursted out.

"How? Her face is blochy and her eyes are all red."

"Trust me. And I need to talk to her. Alone." Jack's eyes grew dark with suspicion then he left the room.

"Delanie. Olga and Toby aren't together anymore."

"What?"

"Yeah. He broke up with her."

"Oh.."

"Aren't you happy?"

Not really.. He probably only did it so he could be with me. Which I would usually find romantic, but I'm still pissed off at him.

I just sat there in silence when my phone went off.

"It's Toby. Want to answer?" I nodded and she handed me the phone.

"Delanie.. I'm sorry about earlier and I didn't mean to hurt you. I really didnt. I still

love you and I hope you can forgive me."

"I love you too Toby. But it's gonna be a while before I trust you again."

"Okay doc. Good night."

I needed to learn to love again. I haven't loved in so long.
