Christy's POV

We walked in for the first time with Layla swaddled up in a pink blanket, fast asleep in my arms.

The house was dead silent, then I remembered: the kids were still at Rhett and Jessie's house.

I was thankful for it though, because I could lay the baby in her bed without her waking up.

Not five minutes after I thought that, three screams of laughter roared the house with noise.

The kids were here.

Hallelujah I thought. Layla didn't wake. She stayed dead asleep.

Link's POV

"SHHH" I said to the kids as the busted trough the door. They were being overly loud and obnoxious and it wasn't even noon.

Today was going to be a long day. I could already tell.

The kids reached out to Layla to hold her, but I shook my head, "wash your hands first. Who knows what y'all touched at Rhett's house" I said with a laugh.

Lily was the first to come back. I gently handed her our baby girl, and she smiled "I finally have a sister!" She said ecstatically. Even though there was over a decade difference between the two, a special bond was forming.

Lando came back next, and I was skeptical about him holding Layla.

"Come here buddy. Sit on the couch" I said handing him Layla. "Be really gentle with her, she's just a little baby." I snapped a picture of the two, because Lando had that look in his eyes, wonder struck.

She opened her eyes, awake, and started to cry. I was hoping Lando wouldn't take it the wrong way, but he did.

When Christy took Layla back and started to rock her, Lando started to tear up. He was only five, and understood a lot of things, but this he didn't.

I scooped him up and sat him in my lap, "why are you sad?" I asked him. He sniffed, "I made her cry daddy." Lando said softly.

"She's a baby Lando. She cries all the time. Lily did when she  was a baby, Lincoln did, and so did you. Even mommy and I did." I said.

He looked surprised, "oh." He said.

He then excitedly got up off the couch, and was eager to hold his little sister again.

By that time, Lincoln was back and was rocking a little pink blanket in his arms. She wasn't asleep, but was calmly still with a pacifier in her mouth.

Layla wasn't planned, but I loved her like she was and that's what matters.

A/N: I am sooooooo sorry about like never updating, but I'm super busy with homework, school, and life in general.

Also, I don't really have an incentive to update, and I know it's really bad to say it, but I don't really want to write this story, but I'm going to anyways.

Enjoy!!!
