Who Dunnit (Infinite)

Chapter 2

After the police took their statements and secured the crime scene the medical examiner took the body. Infinite were the only ones in the building once again.

Dongwoo: I'm not sleeping in there

Woohyun: Where are you going to sleep?

Sunggyu: Not in our room.

Dongwoo: Come on, I didn't kill him.

Hoya: L can sleep in our room. You can sleep in the living room.

Dongwoo: Fine.

Everyone retired to their rooms for the night except Dongwoo who slept in the living room.

The next day they went to the manager's house to give their condolences to his family...

They arrived at the house and Sunggyu rang the doorbell. They were greeted by the manager's girlfriend who was six months pregnant.

Dongwoo: Hey Kara, I'm sorry for your loss.

He gave her a hug then looked back at Woohyun who was staring at the ground. The other members gave her their condolences and went in to greet the manager's parents who were in tears.

"Who would want my son dead? I can't believe the police suspects that one of you did it. I know it isn't possible since you all were like family" his mother sobbed.

Woohyun left the room and went to the kitchen for some water.

Woohyun: Oh...I didn't know you were in here. How have you been?

Kara: I've been better, I really loved him.

Woohyun: I know....he's not the only one who loved you. How's the baby? Do you know the sex?

Kara: I'm having a boy, the doctor says that the baby is healthy.

Woohyun: Maybe he'll look like hyung.

Kara: Yeah.

She looked down and seemed to drift off.

Woohyun: I'm truly sorry that he's gone, he was a good man and would be an even better dad. Take care of yourself.

Woohyun left the kitchen without getting water. Dongwoo gave Woohyun a comprehensive look as he returned to where he was sitting.

Kara emerged from the kitchen a few minutes later with tea on a tray. Dongwoo rushed over to help her serve them.

After an hour they returned back to their dorm.

Dongwoo: I got Kara's new number in case you guys want to check up on her.

He looked at Woohyun. Hoya noticed the look that Dongwoo gave Woohyun.

Hoya: Did something happen between Kara and Woohyun?

Dongwoo looked at Woohyun and said "Do you want me to fill him in?"

Woohyun: There's nothing to say...it's not important.

Dongwoo: I wouldn't call that nothing

Hoya: Is her baby yours?

Woohyun: No, I never touched her. Just leave it alone, it's in the past.

Dongwoo: By the looks of things it might not stay in the past.

They were unaware that the others were listening to the exchange which had occured.

Sunggyu: Let's just enjoy the rest of the day.

Sunggyu's phone rang, the company called him to let him know that they found a replacement manager and that the manager should be arriving at 9 the next morning at their dorm with the van. 

Sunggyu informed the members of the news. 

L: That was quick

Hoya: Yeah

Dongwoo: Maybe it's because we have to prepare for our comeback.

Hoya: Maybe.

With the rest of the day free the members felt uncomfortable spending their day inside since the manager died in one of the rooms.

Sungjong: Hyung, when are you going to clean your room?

L: The cleaning lady will do it when she comes on Wednesday.

Sungjong sighed.

Sungjong: Hyung, you snore too loud, can you snore softer?

Sunyeol: I don't think it's possible for him to do.

L smiled and walked towards the door "Hurry up Sunyeol."

Sungjong: where are you guys going?

L: To Sungyeol's house

Sungjong: Can I come?

Sungyeol: Maybe next time.

Hoya went to meet up with a friend in Seoul.

Dongwoo, Woohyun and Sunggyu went out to drink.

Dongwoo: If you were older we would bring you along.

Woohyun: I could stay here with you if you're afraid.

Sungjong: Go, it's ok.

Sungjong was left home alone.

At around 11 the other members started pouring in. Sungjong was already asleep when Sunggyu, Woohyun and Dongwoo  came home drunk then went straight to bed. L and Sungyeol arrived a little later with a watermelon and food packed by Sungyeol's mother. Hoya was the last to arrive, when he opened the door he heard Dongwoo mumbling something about how he didn't kill anyone in his sleep. Hoya covered him with a blanket then went to bed.
