"It's done!" the doctor exclaimed, smirking to himself as other doctors, nurses, and scientists flooded in. "Three months have prepared me
for this exact moment. He's finished."
He pressed the pad of his thumb behind the robot's left ear, a small white circle lighting up from under the skin before disappearing and Gerard's eyes opening lightly. A light cheer came from all around him and he had no idea what was going on or who he was.

Because of that, he was startled by someone saying, "Woo!" and he leapt backwards, running into some kind of machine and falling off of the metal table. He was still wearing his black shirt and jeans with black converse, but they were stiff. He didn't know these were his already, he didn't know anything.

He was new to all of this; these people, this cold metal table, all this painful white. All he knew was this doctor. He was small, smaller than Gerard at least, and had a scorpion on his neck. He gasped and pointed to it, taking a step back. The doctor was startled at first, but quickly caught on to what he was on about. He chuckled and pointed to it also, then rubbed it. Gerard made a small noise sounding like a squeak as he rubbed it, but walked curiously up to it, reaching his hand to the doctor's neck and lightly touching it. He pulled his hand away and looked at it before looking at the doctor. He nodded and looked around the room, picking up things and observing them carefully, then placing them gently back where he found it and moving on.

Once he reached the needles, he let out a shriek and leapt back. He decided they were scary and he didn't like them.
"Okay," the doctor walked over to Gerard and placed the syringe in the cabinet and faced him. "Let's learn names, alright?" Gerard looked at him, paying close attention to his lips and how these noises sounded and formed. Gerard nodded. Frank pointed to himself, "Frank." he then pointed at Gerard, resting his finger on Gerard's chest, "Gerard." Gerard tried to say their names, tried to make his lips move like Frank's.

"F-Fr-nak?" He tentatively placed a finger on Frank's chest. "G-Grr..Grrd..Gee." Gerard settled with a nickname instead, pointing to himself. Frank smiled and chewed on his lip. "Good, Gee, good."

Frank knew Gerard didn't need to eat because he was not human anymore but he was hungry so he took Gee with him to lunch. Frank took Gerard's hand and led him through the halls quickly. The hall's walls of BLI were lined with doors to rooms, rooms no one talked about. They weren't pleasant; torture and cruelty. Gerard looked around at everything, but Frank tried not to listen to all the faint screams and he hoped Gerard wouldn't either. Gerard stopped walking and his head turned to the door where a loud scream was heard. A cry of help and pain drew Gerard closer to that door. His fingers grazing over the wall and his ear pressed against it at first, tears pricking his eyes. Why was water leaving his eyes? What was this sunken feeling? As the screams continued, more tears flowed. He looked to the door and saw some kind of writing scribbled onto a notecard or something to the right of the door and he pointed to it and turned to Frank for help. Frank sighed and read it. "Lindsey. Lindsey Way." he choked back tears, but was greatful Gerard didn't know who she was. Eventually the tears came, slowly, and Gerard looked at Frank's face and touched it, then touched his own tear-ridden face and looked at Frank curiously. Frank sniffed a bit before answering Gerard's unspoken question.

He pointed to both of their faces. "Sadness." He spoke lightly and took Gerard's hand, leading him from that horrible place and to the cafeteria instead.
