The next morning I woke up at 8 and after tossing around for half an hour I finally gave up on sleep and sat up in bed annoyed. I looked towards my bags for a few minutes deciding whether to start unpacking or not. However, the view outside decided for me so I quickly got dressed in some shorts and one of my old shirts and pulled my hair into a messy ponytail. I half expected to find mom in the kitchen but when I saw nor heard anyone I left a note on the fridge so they'll know I haven't disappeared on them. Again.
I took a deep breath once I was out and after stretching I plugged in my headphone and took off running down the street. I love running especially in the morning when the world is just waking up. I ran most mornings to start my day, it helped refresh me as well as brighten up my mood.
I passed by the bakery, the coffee shop, the book shop. I smiled sadly, I've been gone for too long. It was about time I stopped hiding and started living my life like I wanted to. I just hoped that I had the courage to do It. I turned towards the park walking down the familiar paths remembering the times I came here over the years first with my parents then with my little brother. I looked around at the trees and flowers noting the differences. I don't know how long I stood there but it was while I was looking at the roses my mom loved so much that she named me after that I finally worked up the courage to head to where it all started. Thanks to all my nightmares I've been afraid of the forest since I was a kid especially this one.
I walked down the road that ran along the forest no longer in the mood for a run. Finally I stopped at the place where my parents found me, where they almost ran into a tree trying to steer away from me when I had ran blindingly onto the road. After a deep fortifying breath I stepped off the road. At first I took small hesitant steps as if some monster will pop out any second. I my heart was hammering so hard that it was the sound I heard, which explained why I didn't hear the wolves following me. Coming to stop as they surrounded me, only these weren't wild wolves but werewolves same as me. I stared in shock at the three of them, jerking around when a half naked guy stepped through the trees. I knew I was staring but I couldn't help it. The guy was hot.
"State your name and purpose" He said looking at me with hard eyes which made his blue eyes look like chips of ice.
"Huh?" I asked him confused too lost looking at his eyes. I've never seen anyone with eyes that color.
"I asked you a question rogue" he snapped
"I know. I'm just not sure what it means."
"Why are you here?"
"Uh... I live here" I wanted to add 'duh' but I wasn't sure he'll like it.
"Do you actually expect me to believe that?" He asked quickly becoming angry at my answer.
"Why would I lie to you?"
"Because your a rogue"
"So that naturally makes me a liar and a thief right or should I add a murderer to the list too. You know you shouldn't let you're prejudice rule your actions." I sassed with my hand on my hips. His only reaction was a raised eyebrow before he turned back towards the forest. I thought I was home free until the wolf behind me nudged me to start walking.
I sighed loudly to let them know what I thought about their actions before I grudgingly started following the annoyed guy in front of me.
