.After about hours of dancing I stepped to the side and slumped in a chair near by to catch my breath. I was so busy watching everyone that it took me while to notice who was standing next to me.
"Why don't you guys join the others" I asked Alpha and Chris who ignored me but before I could say anything else someone landed on my lap or rather threw themselves at me and I knew even before I caught his scent that it was Greg and immediately pushed him away causing him to fall on the floor. I burst into laughter as I saw the shock on his face.
"How did you not predict that?"
"Some friend you are" he muttered as he slumped into the chair next to me.
"How about we get out here?"
"And what, have hot steamy sex with all these people near by" I smirked which instantly fell as I remembered our audience, I silently cursed myself, there goes my reputation.
"Okay let's go" he smirked getting up from his chair.
"You're such a guy and we can't leave, my mom will kill me if I ditch my own party"
"Oh come on. How is it that you'll sleep with everyone but me?" He whined.
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Like you don't know"
"I don't know. Why in the world would you even think something like that about me?" He finally caught on that I was serious.
"Well Tyler and Andy said you were easy. We figured you slept with them before we knew you."
"What!?" I screeched, "Oh God. That explains so much." I gaped at him in shock.
"They went into pretty explicit detail about you... You really didn't know?" He asked as I slumped back into my chair.
"Well... you know I slept with Chris back when but I know better than to sleep with guys from uni." I opened my eyes when he didn't say anything.
"Don't tell me you went partying without us?" He glared at me offended.
"Only once or twice. I didn't have time what with my studies and my job." When I first went to college I was working two jobs, both at the restaurant, one as a chef and the other bussing tables. The jobs were to gather experience since I planned to work as chef and my goal was to open my own bakery, once I've everything there is to learn.
"You know I was joking right. You know... about us?" He asked hesitantly, "And that I wasn't judging"
"Relax we're good" I replied with my eyes closed. When it remained quiet I opened one eye to look at him.
"Now what?" I asked annoyed as he looked at me with a thoughtful look.
"Well... I-I don't know how to say this but..."
"Spit it out already" I snapped too tired to play these games with him.
"Is it true that Alix and Don-"
"Don't finish that sentence!" I practically shouted at him earning a few curious glances, I ignored them as well as the anger radiated from the wolves behind me. I had tensed up at their names and knew I was paler than normal.
"Now is not the time nor are we ever talking about it"
"So it is true" he whispered.
"Is that clear" I snapped at him telling him to drop it I knew Greg wasn't the type to back off until his curiosity is appeased.
"So what exactly happened? I mean-"
"What you want all the gory details?" I whispered shouted at him as I got up to walk away.
"That's not what I meant. It's just that they said some pretty strange stuff..." I paled even more at that, if that was possible and here I thought no one knew. Of course they told their friends and probably everyone in university knew. Idiot idiot! Of course they'll brag about it, they always do.
"Why are you bringing this up now?" I asked once I'd calmed down ignoring his question. I could see the pity in his eyes and I hated it.
"Because this is the first time we're alone and you're willing to answer questions."
"Oh? Did you miss the two giants standing next to you or the room full of people!"
"Will you relax you're attracting attention and you know what I mean."
"Do the others know?"
"I don't know how much they suspect but you remember the time we got suspended because we bloodied some guys to a pulp."
"Or rather they beat you guys to a pulp." I laughed lightly remembering the time they came back covered in blood with black eyes or a broken jaw among other injuries.
"We agreed to never talk about it and we told Alix and Don that if we heard another word from them we'll kill them. Safe to say we never heard another rumor" We both stared at each other in comfortable silence for a few minutes.
"How come you knew it was true?" I asked what's been bugging me.
"Because otherwise you would have beaten them up before we got anywhere close to them"
"Huh" I continued after another moment of silence, "I guess we better get going now, we've given those guys enough to talk about for a day" I said pointing behind me.
"So no to sneaking out" I snorted at that.
"We don't need to sneak out, once the guests leave we can go drinking. My parents won't stop us"
"Cool. I'll go tell the others" he said running off. I shook my head at his antics, stiffening up when I felt Alpha take the seat next to me.
"What? You gonna apologize or are you interested in the details of what happened?" I asked giving him the stink eye.
"Nothing actually I got tired of standing around" I turned towards him as I heard the smile in his voice but so no hint of it on his face.
"Sorry" I mumbled back embarrassed for snapping at him like that. He grunted in reply, and we both sat silently watching people dancing.
When I noticed people leaving I got up, grateful for the reprieve and bid everyone good bye. As soon as the door closed behind the last guests, my friends were dragging me out waving good bye to my parents, who just smiled at us indulgently. My parents can be really annoying at times.
