"What's your biggest secret?"

Oh I don't know maybe it's the fact that I killed my mate. No I can't say that. Ok how about he wasn't my first kill? No can't tell them that either, they'll think I've lost my mind or worse they'll believe it and then where will I be. Hmmm... Oh I know, how about I'm a werewolf and I'm not like other wolves not that I've ever confirmed it but John's - my mate - reaction that one time was enough proof for me and there was no way I was going to ask anyone, look what happened the last time, I killed someone.

"Rose!" Brian's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Just answer the question already" Rachel smiled amused by my silence.

"If you want the truth let me think. It's not like I wake up everyday and think 'gotta keep the others from finding my horrible secret'" l glared at them all, especially Lucas since he asked the question. How am I suppose answer something like that?!

"Oh come on!" Darius said throwing his hands up in frustration.

"Ok ok" I mumbled deciding to make something up. We were currently playing truth and dare at my place. We've moved the table to one corner so we could sit in a circle on the floor in the lounge. Since, my parents weren't home and everyone was tired of exploring my home town, which wasn't as small I'd thought. I just never took the time to check it out.

"Rose!" Luke shouted.

"Sheesh. Wouldn't kill you to wait" I grumbled, "Ok... Well... Uh-"

"Spit it out already" Luke glared at me.

"And deprive myself of all the fun" I chuckled unable to help myself.

"Ok. Ok. So did you guys know... I was kinda...marriedonce" I mumbled the last part hoping they'll drop it but no such luck.

"You..?"

"What?"

"When?"

"How?" Everyone looked at me in shock, except for maybe the wolves since they knew I was mated, but they probably didn't know that the guy was dead.

"It's one of those foolish mistakes you make when you're young" I said airily, hoping everyone will catch the drift and drop it but my friends were like dog with a bone, pun intended.

"When? Who? And what happened?" Greg asked.

"How come we're just finding out about it?" Susan asked, looking thoughtful and worried, if anyone is capable of connecting the dots it's her.

"We met when I was 16, I was at boarding school, he was older and nice. We fell in love and when he asked, I said yes. Now would you drop it."

"What happened? Natalie asked, she was dating Ross and they were those lovey dovey couple who make you gag and sigh at the same time but they were focusing all their attention on me now and it was getting unnerving.

"And then you wonder why I never tell you guys anything"

"Okay everyone back off" Susan said, leaning forward to spin the bottle I threw her a grateful look.
