When I look up again, the man just sits on the ground across from me and I just stare at him, confusedly.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Havie and I wa—" Right after I heard that nickname again, I start to tremble and cry again. He is just like them.

I start breathing heavy and before I know it, my throat feels like its closing and I am gasping hardly.

"Havoline? Baby! You have to breathe!" he yells panicky, my vision starts to dim and I think I'm starting to see black dots everywhere.

"Havoline! Look at me, please?" a deep voice booms at me. I look around to find that soothing voice and got shock as I see Pierce sitting under me.

"Look at me, princess. Breathe in and out, baby. Nothing is going to get you and hurt you; you are safe with me, princess." He whisper softly which makes me calm a bit, trying to breathe in and out just like what he said.

A minute later, my breathing is back under control and I am still staring up at him. His grayish eyes are staring right back at me. As realization hits me, I scramble to get off his lap and scoot back away until I realize that my back is now against the head of the bed. Damn. Where is the door? I need to get out of here.

"Havoline? Baby?" He mumble softly as he slowly move towards me, I start to panic and look for the door. I see the door of the bathroom, if only I can go there.

Arguing with my mind, I decide that I should give it a try. I stood up then start running towards the bathroom door and get inside, but before I can the shut the door, his sticks his foot in the door way and stop it.

I try to push it closed until I realize that compare to my strength from his, I am nothing. I back up and wait for him to get me and whip me. He slowly open the door but doesn't come in, he just stares at me- looking upset and most of it- sad. I stare back at him, confused.

What is he doing? Why I don't receive any punishment from him?

"Havoline. Baby, you know I won't hurt you. I will take however long to prove that to you, but I won't leave you alone also."

I just nod my head. I know he's lying about it, but the other part of me wants to believe everything he said.

"Do you want to go get some breakfast? It's still early about 5 in the morning, I think? I can make you something, if you want?" I nod my head again. I wait for him to drag me but it didn't happened, instead he start walking away but looking at his back, making sure that I am following him.

Patuloy ang pagsunod ko sa kanya, makalipas ng ilang minuto ay nakaramdam ako ng pagod kaya napag-desisyonan 'kong maupo muna sa isang baitang at pinanuod siyang bumaba. Bago pa man siya makarating sa pinakababa, lumingon siya sa'kin at napa-kunot noo nang makita niyang nakaupo na ko.

"Do you need help, baby?" nag-aalalang tanong niya bago humakbang pabalik. Agad naman akong umurong palayo sa kanya.

"Okay. Okay, we can take a break here." Wika niya sabay upo sa pangalawang baitang. "Do you want pancakes, eggs, wheat or cereals?"

I just shrug my shoulder to him. I remember the time where I'm cooking pancakes; because that's the only time I was off limits for them to hurt.

Tumayo na ko at agad naman akong tinanong ni Pierce kung okay na ako, tanging tango lang ang isinagot ko sa tanong niya.
