"So that's why you were half- dead last night?" I asked Peter once Derek finished explaining about hooded, masked figures that came out of the dark and attacked Isaac, Twins- Cuties and Lydia as well as Derek himself, leaving a reversed number 5 behind their ears.
"Wait, they attacked you already?" Derek asked, making Peter nod. "You didn't think of telling me?" Peter raised an eyebrow at the annoyed tone that colored Derek's words, not liking it or the disrespect he was getting from his younger nephew.
"The thought have failed to cross my mind," he replied with the bitchiest look one could muster. I think I truly adore this man.
"Of course, you had other things in mind," Derek said, rolling his eyes at me. Both me and Peter raised an eyebrow now, and while Peter chose to roll his eyes I went over this possibility. I do not deny Peter being sexy, or the fact I always had a slight preference to older guys, but the moment I considered it I realized something; Peter wasn't older, he was plain old.
"I could be her father," Peter said, dismissing Derek's idea. "And there are far more important things in hand."
"Yeah, like why are weird-ass creatures are attacking supernatural beings and leaves the kanji Self behind their ears," I blurted, scratching Kurt behind his ear.
"Wait, what?" Derek asked. "Kanji?" I looked up to Derek, who was now watching me.
"Yeah, in Japanese, the Kanji for Self kinda looks like a reversed five. And I looked at Peter's mark- it is most definitely a Kanji."
Derek seemed impressed for a short moment, and I saw Peter shaking his head lightly. I turned to look at Peter, tilting my head in confusion. If he's got something to say, he should say it.
"How do you know?" Derek questioned, making me go for a new option; ignoring Peter and answering the friendlier, saner, Hale family member.
"I know some Japanese." I shrugged, like it was no biggie.
"Great." Derek replied, and silence settled in.
"I think I should go home," I stated, standing up. Kurt got off the couch right after me, stretching his muscles adorably. I love this dog, truly. It's been just a few days, yet he filled my life instantly.
Dogs must be true angels sent to Earth to be humans' saving grace, I concluded.
"Leave the shirt next to the washing machine," Peter stated, making me snap out of the lovely thoughts of puppies in Heaven.
"But I like your shirt," I pouted. "Besides, your whole wardrobe is just a bunch of v-necks, it wouldn't harm you to just give me one, would it?"
Choosing to bluntly ignore the second part of the statement, Peter replied with a;"The question is what do you like better; your face or my shirt?"
I thought for a moment; that was a good question. I liked my face, I think it was cute, but at the same time I liked Peter's shirt, and while I had my face for eighteen years, I only had Peter's shirt for few hours. I was tempted to choose the shirt if it wasn't for the pain in losing my face, before realizing I have the trusty knight Derek to protect my face, so with a smirk I decided: "your shirt."
Peter stayed silent for a moment. "Alright then," within a moment his claws were out.
"Stop it," Derek growled, standing up and glaring at us both. "Both of you, just... Stop. This is ridiculous."
"He started it," I stated childishly, Peter sticking his tongue out in reply. I blinked, surprised at his reaction, but when Derek turned to face him again Peter was looking like his normal serious-grumpy-asshole self.
