My heart was still racing but I had calmed down a lot compared to how I was feeling this morning.
I had forgotten about everything already after closing the front door.
I knew this area like the back of my hand and headed to the coffee shop which was a few streets away from me and closer to my work place. As I got to the street I walked slower just thinking about if my house was safe or not though. I walked into the shop and up to the till. A blonde woman was standing behind it with a huge smile on her face, her name badge read "Tiffany" and I looked back at her without even a sign of a smile then flicked my eyes to the board which was hanging above her head.
"Hello, may I take your order?" she asked, her voice slightly high pitched but bearable.
"Um" I said still looking at the board, pondering what to have and looking at the calories in each one.
'Iced coffee with only cream is 50 calories. Not bad' I thought to myself until I realised I was making the duck face as I thought.
"Iced coffee with cream, no milk, no sugar, no sweetners"
Tiffany looked at me like I was crazy.
"What size would you like that?"
"Regular"
Tiffany turned her head to the side and suspiciously smiled at me again and walked back and gave someone a note with what I had just ordered on it. I moved to the side like a normal person so the coffee lover people behind me could be served. Luckily I was only waiting under half a minute when they called out my order. I grabbed my coffee off them and smiled and walked off to find a place to sit down and enjoy my drink.
I found an empty table against the window with only two seats so I could be alone and not have to join in any conversation. My legs moved in that direction and my whole body followed. I stared at the seat I was going to take until my thoughts were knocked crazy when I stood just next to the chair.
A male with jet black hair and stunning beautiful blue eyes also wasn't looking where they were going and we crashed right into each other. My coffee was nearly spilt all down myself but luckily I had control compared to him who spilt only the top frothyness off and straight on the floor. He stepped back and apologised to the cleaner who was over the other end of the shop and was making their way over.
He looked up at me from his coffee and that's when I realised I had been staring at him.
"I'm so sorry" he said to me in a hurry looking really concerned for me.
I smiled
"It's okay. I wasn't looking where I was going either." I said trying to take half of the blame.
He smiled back at me.
He had a beautiful smile. His lips were pressed together and he seemed to that sort of cheeky but cute smile going on.
"Iced coffee with cream, very nice" he said to me with a raised eyebrow as he looked at my coffee then up to me again
"Yes" I broke eye contact with him by put my bag on the table and took a seat where I was planning "very much needed too."
I took my seat and then took a sip of coffee wondering what the male would do next. I saw him edge closer to the table out the corner of my eye and I couldn't help but smile as if I wanted him to sit opposite me but at the same time I wanted to just be left alone.
Placing my coffee back on the table I noticed he turned his body towards the chair opposite me and then turn his head to me, smiling still.
"May I?" his voice was still the same.
I felt myself smiling.
"Of course" I answered him without even thinking until I looked down at my coffee and became a little bit nervous that I'm actually going to be speaking to somebody of the opposite gender as I tapped my fingers on the cup.
As his whole body moved on to the seat I could sense him staring at me as if his eyes were glued to me. I saw him fidgeting on the chair until he got comfy and I flicked my eyes up to look at him. As soon as our eyes met he instantly looked down and grinned before looking back up at me with the same expression.
"You have really nice eyes" he said to me without breaking eye contact but I had to. I didn't know what else to do.
Stare him back in the eye like an utter freak by not blinking out of shock?
"Oh" I paused, trying not to smile as boldly as he was.
I began to feel myself going red through my disbelief and I began to blush greatly.
I looked down at my coffee and took a sip while I knew he was still looking at me
"I'm Thomas" he announced to me
I put my coffee back on the table and smiled
"I'm Victoria"
"Victoria?" he seemed to think about my name "That's a very nice name"
I smiled.
"Thomas. That was my fathers name."
Why was he complimenting me so much?
I felt a little uncomfortable because of not receiving many compliments that seemed so true and meaningful from somebody I had only just met. I blushed again thinking of what to say next but my mind was blank. The whole stalking business and filming business was free from my mind and all I was trying to think of was something to say but nothing was happening. There was a silence when I looked up at him again.
"I haven't seen you around here before" I finally said
"I haven't been here long. I've actually just got a job around here"
"Really? Where's that?" I asked trying to make more of a conversation but I my mind wasn't really in the conversation
"The offices just around the corner" he spoke
'What?' I thought to myself 'I work there!'
"I work as the security on the nights"
"I work there" I couldn't help myself
"You do?"
"Yes, in the days though"
"Maybe I'll see you around even more then" he smiled out the corner of his mouth at me as I sweetly smiled back at him.
I didn't know how to reply to him. I sat still as he remained in a stare at me until my mind was completely away with the fairies and looked at my phone in my pocket. I had no texts or missed phone calls. I could feel my teeth constantly moving in my shoes continually tugging at my socks pulling them back and fourth, pulling them down my leg. I need to get away. I looked up to Thomas in a slight frown and got up out of my seat, grabbing my coffee.
"I'm sorry I have to go"
His eyes fell and his mouth opened like a sad puppy. He got up out of his chair also and now we were both standing. I smiled at him for the last time and walked out the coffee shop and made my way home.
