Steven's pov
I was on the hill with Connie, having a picnic. Then there was loud beeps whenever Connie talked.
I woke up from my dream.
"Stupid alarm" I muttered
"Steven! Lets go!"
Whats going on? Then I realized that I was sleeping on a couch. Right I'm at Connie's house. I had forgotten I slept over here since it was late at night.
Connie was waiting at the door for me to get up.
"Steven we need to get to the temple or else we're gonna be late for sword training!"
"I'm up, I'm up" I said as I got up of yhe couch and put my sandals back on.
We walked out the door, where Lion was waiting. Weird he never waits around anywhere unlees I give him a lion licker. Connie mounted Lion and I got on wearily. Lion broke into a run and then teleported over to the temple.
Once we got there there was rumbling and the gems ran outside.and summoned their weapons.
"Steven whats going on?" Garnet yelled
"I don't know, the rumbling started when we got here!" I said with a bit of panic
"Steven we need to help them if theres a monster!" Connie yelled through the rumbling.
I nodded. I got off of Lion and got my mom's sword out of his mane and gave it to Connie.
"You're gona need to use this Connie" I said looking her straight in the eye. Pretty sure I blushed there.
The monster was 20 feet tall.
"Woah" I heard Connie mutter under her breath
I summoned my shield and threw it at it. Connie was charging at it and I ran behind her. The monster swung its arm and it hit Connie towards me. That was the last thing I remeber before everything went black.
