Steven's pov
Ouch why does my body hurt so much? I could barely open my eyes. The last thing I remember was being fused with Connie then everything went black.
Once I got my eyes open all I saw was Connie looking down at me. It felt a bit awkward. Once she realized that I had opened my eyes she spoke
"Steven thank god your okay, I wass worried about you, so were the gems. Your dad came to visit you too" she said while hugging me.
"Umm Connie, could you stop hugging me, my body still hurts" I said, whincing a bit.
"Oh, sorry Steven, I forgot about that" Connie said as she gently sat me up.
"So, how long have I been out" I asked
"You were out for about a week" Connie said, concern in her voice.
"What! A week!" I yelled out of suprise.
"Yep, the town has been a bit dull since then" she said.
The warp turned on with the gems stepping down from it.
"Connie hows Steven doi-STEVEN!!" Pearl yelled in suprise, "we were so worried about you" sge said as she came to hug me gently.
"Hello Steven" Garnet said with a smile
"Hey Ste-man whats up, did you miss us :P?" Amethyst said with a smile whule hugging Peridot.
"Yeah hi Steven" Peridot said, partly grumbling.
"Hi guys, it feels great to be back from being passed out for a long time," I said with a smile since I was really happy to see them agai.
"Connie you did a good job caring for Steven while we went on missions" Garnet said.
I was looking at Connie who was now blushing.
"Thanks, but it really isn't much, my parents taught me how to do this," she said, "that reminds ne I should call them right now to check in with them"
Connie went down to the kitchen to call her parents, and I was left with the gems talking about what happend while I was out.
Later that fay my dad came up to check on how I was doing and was super happy to see that I was awake.
"Steven, you're okay" he said while hugging me.
"Of course, thanks to Connie, she took care of me" I said, blushing a bit.
"You should really give her something to say thanks Steven" my dad said with an encouraging smile.
"Hmm, I could take her on a picnic or something" I said, which was the first thing that popped into my head.
"Good idea, we could help you prepare, but this has to wait until you can get up and walk again," Garnet said.
"Ok," I said with disappointment.
I want to tell Connie how I feel about her, but I don't know how. Maybe the gems could help me. Or maybe I could ask Garnet since she has future vision.
Once all this is over, hopefully we could possibly be just one big happy family with the gems.
