One Big Happy Family

Chapter 3

Dinner was in full swing and the Gibbs household. Jenny and Ziva were in the kitchen preparing salad and chicken nuggets for the younger kids. Gibbs and Tony were outside cooking/burning some steak on the grille. This left Abby and Tim. Both of them were inside the house, on the floor of the living room, working away at the computer. Jenny looked over and saw the two of them working together and smiled to herself,"Two down, two to go," she whispered with a grin. Then, she heard the shouts.

"God Tim! You suck at this game! We're losing because of you! Everyone knows its jump, slide, double jump, round house kick! Get it together!"

"I would if you would stop yelling at me! Besides, its your fault that we didn't make it to the boss level! You, not me, used our potions and enchanted rope to get across the cavern!"

"Elf-ling!"

"Bat Brain!"

"Whoa, Whoa,Whoa! What is going on here?" demanded Jenny as she glared down at the two children with her death stare. The two children didn't back down though. Instead, they started hurling more insults at each other while screaming choruses of whodunits rang out from both of them. "Separate! Both of you! And will someone set the table!" she exclaimed feeling her good mood diminish.

Then Gibbs walked in carrying a big, steaming plate of steak and kebabs. "Tony, set the table with Ziva," he said hoping that the task would somehow bring the two together. He continued to walk into the dinning room and set the plate on the table. "Hi Honey," he said to Jenny as he kissed her,"Having a good time?"

"I am now".
