Gibbs POV:
I was so nervous. Today was the day that I was going to pop the question. My palms were sweating, and I was struggling to speak. After all, I was in love and my whole relationship was riding on this. What if it came out wrong? I really have never been good at expressing myself. God I hoped this works. That's right. I, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, was praying that he said yes. Please let Tony say yes to my proposal. My proposal to be my best man.

Tony walked in and sat down in front of me. "Hey Dad. Why'd ya call me in here? If it's about Ziva just know-".

"It's not about Ziva. But you're not off the hook for that," I cut in. "Look, Tony, I know this hasn't been easy for you. I know that after your issues and that whole incident last year you just want things to stay that same. I know that you weren't expecting me to invite someone else into my life, but I just can't help it. I love her. She makes me happy. So, I was wondering if you could help me make our wedding day special. Will you be my best man?"

Tony looked taken aback. "Uh... Sure. I mean it's kind of spur of the moment but I'm sure I can throw a little something together. So... Let's talk bachelor party-"

I cut him off once again, "First off, no bachelor party. I don't even trust you drinking soda after eight, much less throwing a party. Secondly, there is no need to 'throw something together' when the wedding is a year away. And finally, please be nice to your step-siblings. I asked you to be my best man because I thought you could be responsible enough handle it. So no more of this funny business, ok?"

"Fine, Dad," he said as he walked out the door. I knew he didn't really care about that last part, but I would deal with that later.
