Song "Distance" Christina Perri

"Mindy where are you?"

"Mindy!" Jonah called out with heavy coughs.

"Oh no. Don't tell me she left again." The feeling of fear and hurt was already settling in. She cannot. How can she? He felt betrayed that she would leave him again.

He gets up slowly but surprisingly felt no pain. "Huh that's odd. I thought my muscle and body will be aching like crazy."

Making his way into the living room, his assumptions where correct. She was gone. His truck was also gone. He knew this time she probably made it back just fine since she took the car. Tears slid down his face as he stare through the sliding glass windows from the kitchen.

"Ha I'm actually crying? What the hell was I expecting from her? A love story? I was stupid enough to let her get to me. Let me strayed away from my plan. And now, I've lost both. The plan fail and I've lost her. The cops are probably on their way here now."

He felt like the ground was swallowing him up right into a dark pitch. "Mindy come back. Mindy. I lov.."

Jonah's eyes snaps open his heart felt like it's beating a thousand beats per second. He can feel the sweat wetting his temple. "Mindy!" he whispered panic.

Turning his head he is greeted by a sleeping Mindy curled up right next to him. A smile crossed his face, and relief swept over him. "It was just a dream."

He had never felt happier he thought. He continued to stare at the woman sleeping so peacefully next to him wondering why she didn't leave. It was the perfect chance for her. Can she possibly feel the same way he did about her? He flashbacks to her confession the other night and try to make sense of it. Whether she was just saying those words out of guilt or she truly cared about him. Regardless he was happy that she stayed.

He reached out his hand to brush her hair away from her face. She reacts by leaning in towards him, causing his body to stiffen up. "If only you are always this innocent."

As if knowing his thoughts about her, her face distorted before an arm comes flying at him right in the chest too close to his wound. "AH!"

His loud groan awaken her immediately. She rubs her eyes trying to get the sleep out of her.

Yawning, she moves her hand to cover up her mouth.

"OOhhh.." Jonah continues to groan.

"Oh! Jonah your awake!" she forgets how tired she was and happily jumps to his side.

"Yeahh.." he grunts.

"Did something happen? Are you hurt anywhere?"

"No." he lied. If there was one thing he missed about his dream it was the feeling no pain part.

"Stay here, let me get you some water." She hops out of bed leaving him alone.

After returning and feeding him what seems to be like a gallon of water, she helped him to the bathroom so he can clean himself up. She had ran a tub for him and filled it up with bubbles hoping it will make him feel better. Guilt was still eating up at her.

She sat on the bed while she waited for him to finish.

"Princess! Come in here." He yelled only five minutes after she had left him in there.

She was nervous. "What can he possibly want? What if he's naked?"

"Princess!" his voice came again.
