Song "Falling Fast" Avril Lavigne

The afternoon sun was hidden behind thick layers of gray clouds. Clues of heavy rain on its way was all over. Mindy finish folding the last of her clothes into her luggage. After accepting Jonah's offer, he had immediately told her to pack up her belonging that they were leaving today.

Jonah too, was in his room packing. He couldn't calm his beating heart no matter how much he tried. She actually said yes. They were actually going to get marry. He was all too excited about the whole ordeal like he just won the lottery, not that he needs it.

She had agreed to all his terms. Except for adding her own rule that their marriage will stay a secret from her family until she is ready to tell them. And that there will be no grand wedding because she didn't want to be all over the news. That was fine by him as long as they did get married legally, although he wish to throw her the grand wedding his precious soon to be wife deserves. It's a close call, but he wanted to get out of Serene right away and head to the court house before it closes. He was afraid if he gave her another night to think she will change her mind.

Taking his things down to his truck he returns for hers. She was just stepping out of her room when he arrives taking both of her luggage into his hands like they weigh nothing at all. She follow close behind carrying only her handbag.

"Am I making the right decision? There no turning back once I leave with him." She contemplated over and over again.

"Mindy lets go." He called out to her already at the doors.

"Uhhh. Yeah I'll be right there." He heads to the car first to set the baggage in the trunk.

Mindy takes one last look at her surroundings. She was actually going to miss this place a little she thought. Sighing she walks out the door just as Jonah comes to get her.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Ready." She replied.

She walks to the car while he locks up behind them. Taking a look at the scenery around her, she imprints the gorgeous sight in her mind. Her eyes wander to the lonely swing under the oak tree. "I never even had the chance to get on that. Maybe one day we'll come back here during happier times." She smiled to herself at her silly thought. This was a business deal she reminded herself, not some fairy tale.

"Congratulations! I now pronounce you husband and wife." The clerk behind the counter announced. He hands them each a copy of the marriage certificate.

"Thank you sir." Jonah said taking Mindy's copy out of her hand and placing it within a large yellow envelope along with his.

Standing up he holds his hand out to her. She looks at it unsure of what he wanted before putting her hand in his, he gently pulls her up to her feet.

The clerk clears his throat catching both of their attention. "Sir, here we kind of try to keep the tradition."

Jonah arches his left brow unsure of what he meant.

Clearing his throat once more, the clerk said "You may now kiss the bride."

Jonah chuckles at this but didn't fail to swiftly wrap his free arm around Mindy's tiny waist pulling her in for a warm slow kiss. She was too shock to pull or push away. His soft lips never fail to take her breath away. When he finally let go of her, her cheeks were of a rosy blush.

The clerk laughed heartedly behind the counter. "Oh you youngster reminds me of when my wife and I was young. She still takes my breath away every single day. Cherish each other."
