A/N: Hey!

In the picture of Annie (Hayden Panettiere), she has short hair. But can you imagine it above shoulder length and stick straight. Thank you!

Enjoy =)

“Annie, can you help me curl the back,” I asked, holding the curling iron. “Please?”

Today was Greg’s eighteenth birthday party, and Annie decided we could use my house as a huge dressing room.

Make-up and hair products were strewn all over my bed.

“Yeah, hold on for a sec,” she sprayed her hair with a finishing gloss, after she flat ironed it.

“Aren’t you glad you have an awesome friend like me to help you?” She grabbed the iron, smiling ear-to-ear.

“I really am. Thank you so much, Queen Annie.” I pretended to be worshiping her. She began to wave to a nonexistent crowd pageant queen-style.

We both end up laughing.

To be honest, I was happy to have a friend like her. After everything with Kevin, It felt good to have a female friend.

“So, did Greg slip any details about his party,” I asked while Annie grabbed a section of my hair and began curling it.

“Red carpet Hollywood,” she grinned.

“A themed party? “

“Yep, Greg’s mom is a sucker for a party store. Every since I could remember, Greg’s birthday parties had been themed.”

I giggled. “What was the craziest theme he ever had?”

She thought for a second. “It’s hands down Clifford.”

“As in the big red dog,” I questioned.

“Yep,” she smirked pulling another section of my hair.

“How old was he turning?”

“Thirteen.” I exploded in laughter, so did Annie.

“Thirteen?”

“His mom thought it was ‘symbolic’ of Greg leaving his childhood behind, and coming into adulthood.” She air quoted “symbolic”.

“Wow, I feel so bad for him.”

“Don’t be. That year he got a butt load of gifts and money. It was almost like a bat mitzvah.” She curled the last section of my hair.

I finished my hair with hairspray, while Annie dove into make-up. She did a smoky eye and paired it up a soft pink lip. Once she finished, I dove in too. I did a softer version of Annie’s eye shadow, but went heavy on the liner and lashes. I wore mauve, pink lip-gloss, and dusted some bronzer onto my face.

Annie painted her nails black, while I painted mine soft pink.

After what seemed like three hours, we were finished.

Annie peered out the window, checking Greg’s house for guests. “Jay, you won’t believe this. Come over here.”

I glanced over her shoulder. “Is that a bouncer?” A big, muscular bald guy stood next to the front door checking stubs that were included in the invitation. There was a red rope he held, permitting a cluster of girls to enter.

She chuckled. “His mom went all out.”

I stood there amazed. I never went to a party this extravagant before. Annie seemed to notice that I was mesmerized, she smirked. “What?”
