I sat on my couch eating Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream, while watching Mean Girls.

Buzz buzz

I reached under my fluffy blanket and pulled out my phone. It was Annie.

From: Annie

Hey, I'm coming to your house.

I'm bringing junk food. Your welcome. :)

I chuckled. I love that girl!

To:Annie

Thanx! And bring ur twilight DVDs!

From: Annie

Already have them! I'll be there in 10 min.

I seriously love that girl, it's almost like she can read my mind.

Ten minutes later, Annie knocked on my door.

"You started without me?"

"Sorry, don't kill me okay?"

Annie punched my shoulder and grabbed the pint of ice cream from my hand.

"So what did you bring?" I peeked into the white plastic bags."Three types of chips, two dips, Oreos, Nutella, Popcorn, chocolate, gummy worms, Mountain Dew, and...bacon?" I looked at her puzzled.

"With all of the junk food I brought, I figured I had to bring something healthy," she shrugged.

"Bacon is healthy? " I joked.

"Yes, and no one can convince me otherwise." She stuck her tongue out at me.

I chuckled and shook my head. "Never mind."

We plopped onto the couch.

"So what's going on with you and Greg?" Annie tore off a gummy worm in her mouth while staring at the tv.

I looked toward her direction, "What do you mean?"

"Don't play innocent with me. I know Greg, and I know him when he likes a girl." She continued to eat her gummy worm.

I was surprised. Does Greg really like me?

Annie looked at me, waiting for a reply.

I looked back at the television. "Isn't it weird for you to talk about this?"

"No. I just need to know."

I looked back at her. "Why?"

She turned her face to me, grinning. "I need to know just in case you break his heart, I'll have to beat you up."

I stared at her wide-eyed.

"I'm kidding!" She shoved my shoulder. "Geez, lighten up!"

"To be honest, I'm not really sure what's going on between Greg and I." I ate a spoonful of ice cream.

"How so?"

"I don't know. It seems like he does like me, but..."

"But?"

"But with the situation with Kevin, I just don't know." I sighed. "Geez, I feel like I'm living in a soap opera!"

"Jay, don't be so hard on yourself. Yeah, so what if he loves you. You can't help it. It was his decision to tell you. So many times, people beat themselves up over decisions others make. Don't do that to yourself because then you'll never be happy."

I smiled weakly. "Wow, you're like my own personal Yoda."

"Your butt will I kick." I couldn't help but to laugh.

"Thanks Annie."

"For what? Saying that I'll kick your butt? Because I can do it more often."

"Haha, no. Thanks for being my friend." I smiled at her.

"Your welcome. I am a pretty good friend," she says while examining her manicure. I threw a pillow at her. "Hey! I thought we were having heart-to-heart moment!"

"That was before you got cocky!" I laughed.

I never should of said that. Because ladies and gentlemen, that is how the great pillow fight of 014' started.

--------------------------------------------

"Hey you."

I closed my locker. It was Greg. "Hey."

He flashed his gorgeous smile. "So I was thinking if you're doing anything tonight?"

My stomach dropped, was he asking me out? My inner self was freaking out, even hyperventilating.

"Uh...um, yeah, no."

He laughed. "So you are doing something?"

I chuckled. I mentally slapped myself for not playing it cool. "Yes, sorry. I have tons of homework to do. I'm still trying to catch up."

"Oh okay, I was just wondering because a bunch of us were going into the city. I just wanted to know if you wanted to go, but maybe next time?"

"Yeah, next time."

He gave me a crooked smile and walked away.

I felt so bad. I can't believe I just did that.

I turned to head to English when- SMACK!

I held my head. "Ow."

I heard moaning. I opened my eyes. It was Brian.

"What the heck?" I picked up my book bag off the floor. "Are you going to make running into me a habit? If so, I'll be forewarned." I shook of my pants.

"Are you sure it's not the other way around? Are you going to keep running into me?"

"Psh, don't think you're that great." I threw my book bag over my shoulder. "Anyways, I have to go, I'm late to class."

He reached out and grabbed my wrist. Immediately, an electric shock went up my arm. It surprised me. I shook my hand out of his grip.

"Don't go. What if I'm injured? You wouldn't leave me here all alone would you?"

"You're a big boy. You can take care of yourself." I begin walking away.

"At least make it up to me by going out with me tomorrow night!"

I turned around. "No chance."

"Ouch!" He laughed. "I'll see in in Music!"

I knew I was being harsh, but I knew the kind of guy Brian was. He was arrogant and thought he was God's gift to women kind of guy. I had other things to worry about right now. For example, my English class.

I tried my very best to let go of the whole situation with Kevin. Annie was right. I have to make myself happy right now.

In the back of my mind, a little voice said,"What is it that can make you happy?" It bothered me, because, to be completely honest, I had no idea.
