He pulled me into his bedroom. My heart began to beat wildly, and his warm hand wrapping over mine did not help. I had never been in another guy's bedroom besides Kevin's, and his room permanently smelled like sweaty socks and fabric softener. Greg's room smelled woodsy, which was weird knowing we were nowhere near any woods.
I gulped. "Um...where are we going?"
He faced me and grinned widely. "Trust me. You'll see."
He reached to unlock his bedroom window, and stepped through. I hesitated for a second, but followed him closely behind. My heels kept tugging against the roof’s shingles. I stopped to take my platforms (seriously, what girl can climb a roof with 7 inch heels?).
“We can sit here.” He pointed to an area against the wall of the house.
I sat down. “Wait here. I’ll be right back,” Greg smiled afterward. I nodded. Soon, he disappeared inside the house.
I looked around. I was able to see guests arriving to the party, but they could not see me. I looked across the street. My house stood quietly. I noticed from my location, I was able to peer into my bedroom window. I was shocked for a moment, but made a huge mental note to keep my window blinds closed.
“Here we go.” I looked up to the sound of Greg’s voice. He held a blanket over his shoulder and two coffee cups. I could not help but to smile.
“What’s up with all of this,” I referred to the cups and blanket.
“It’s a surprise. Now are you going to help me, or should I deprive you of hot cocoa?”
Hot cocoa? I helped him. He glanced at his watch. “We have two more minutes,” he said to himself.
Seriously, what’s going on?
He sat down beside me, unwrapped the blanket, and laid it over his and my lap.
“You know it’s like 60 degrees out here. Why do we need a blanket and hot cocoa?”
“Because there won’t be another show like this until spring. I couldn't let you miss it.” He grinned.
“What are you talking about?”
“That,’ he pointed upward. My eyes followed.
He was right. I was glad I had not missed it.
Stars shot across the sky. White fire trailed behind, shimmering when it began to fade. It was so beautiful.
"Wow," mouth agape.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" I nodded. Words could not describe the splendor of th falling stars. "It's almost like they put a show on just for us."
He wrapped his hand over mine, intertwining our fingers. I looked down at our mingled hands, and up to him. He moved closer to me. My heart began to beat harder. With his other hand, he caressed my cheek. Immediately, I began to feel them burn. We inched closer to each other. We were inches away. Our warm breath mixed. My stomach seemed to be doing somersaults. Our eyes were locked.
Oh my God. Oh my God.
"NO!"
We pulled away from each other instantly, and peered into the front yard.
"I DON'T CARE!"
Greg stood up slowly, and moved to the edge of the roof. He backed away, and cursed under his breath.
He glanced at me sadly. "I have to go in."
"Okay," I whispered.
Once he was gone, I peered over the edge of the roof. It was Chelsea arguing with Mr. Clean.

A/N: Hellooo everyone! I know this chapter is short, but I couldn't go another week without uploading something. You guys have been very patient, and I thank you for that. No, I haven't found my magical memory stick yet. So, if there are any typos it's because I typed it on the site, instead of Word. I'm still searching for it, but have come to the awful realization that maybe it is lost indefintely. I may have to buy a new one. =/
Anyways, I hope you have a great day, and stay tuned for the next upload! =)
<3 Sara (AKA the girl who is extremely sad about losing her memory stick, please forgive her)
