Chapter 5: The Day The Sanity Left

" We gotta get this kid to the emergency room and fast!" One guy said as they wheeled Jeff into the back of an ambulance truck and took off in lightening speed with him. Everyone who was at the kids birthday party was shocked, confused, horrified, and now scarred especially the children who were still crying and frightened of what had just happened. Jeff's mother was soaked in tears because all these bad things were happening to her two precious boys, her only children were either locked up in JDC or sent to the hospital with sever injuries and a sever burn.
Emily and her boyfriend heard what happened and rushed to the crime scene where everyone was still standing and sobbing." What the hell happened here?!" Asked Emily.
" Who are you?" Jeff's mother asked the girl in a long red and black dress with blonde hair and grayish blue eyes.
" I'm the new girl around here...I heard that there was a fight going on so I rushed down to see." Emily explained. Jeff's mother looked at her and then opened her mouth, but no words came out until she tried again.
" Oh, it's horrible! First my son, Liu is sent to JDC for a crime he clearly didn't do, and now my son, Jeff is being sent to the hospital with sever injuries!" She said furiously. Wait a minute...could this be the Jeff she knows? She hoped not. She remembered that Jeff's brother went to JDC for attacking three kids at the bus stop." Did Liu go to JDC for...attacking three kids at a bus stop?" Emily asked.
" H-how did you know?" Asked Jeff's mother.
" I'm a friend of Jeff's...he told me what happened and he said that he attacked them not Liu. He felt really bad about Liu taking the blame." Emily said.
" What's your name?" Asked Jeff's mom.
" Emily." She replied and walked back to her house without a warning, just leaving everyone there and buried her emotions in the ground

When Jeff woke up he had cast over his face, stitches all over him, and some kind of tube in his arm. He tried to get out of bed, but he fell on the floor ripping the tube out of his arm. The nurse came in and helped him." I don't think you can get out of bed just yet." She said and put back in bed, and put the tube back in his arm. Jeff laid in bed with no idea of his surroundings, all alone in a hospital room blind and numb. A couple of hours later he heard his mother walk in." Honey, are you alright?!" She asked. Jeff couldn't answer because his face was covered up." Oh, I also have great news! The police have witnesses who heard the three boys confess they attacked first so their letting Liu go!"
Jeff was so happy that he wanted to jump up, but couldn't remembering the tube in his arm. After awhile his mother left he was alone once again.
A few days have pasted by and his family came by time by time to visit him, but today was different someone else came to visit him." Jeff, you have a visitor." The nurse said. Jeff laid there and waited patiently for either his mother or Liu to come up to him and give him a hug or something, but no this time it was different, someone was holding his hand.
" Hi Jeff, do you recognize my voice?" The mysterious stranger asked. Jeff did recognize the voice! It was Emily! Jeff's entire torso sprint up with happiness and he moved his head from side to side to show his happiness, because you know his face was still covered up." You poor thing! I can't believe this happened to you," She said with a sad tone," you don't look very happy to be here."
Jeff nodded his head side to side as an answer for 'no'. He started to get upset a little bit because he wanted to see her beautiful appearance, what was she wearing? Has her hair color changed? What color were her eyes? He felt around on her face and stroked his fingers through her hair. It felt perfect. Like her.
" I'm sorry this happened Jeff...I hope you get better soon so you won't be in pain anymore." She said with a smile that Jeff couldn't see. Emily placed his fingers on her lips so that he could feel her smile." I have to leave now, but I'll see you soon." She said and kissed the top right side of his head, and Jeff heard the heels of her boots click gently away.
A few weeks have past by and the day came when Jeff was finally getting his cast off. Everyone lend in closer to Jeff as the doctor was unwrapping his bandages." Let's hope for the best." The doctor said as he unwrapped Jeff's last bandage, finally revealing his face. Jeff's mother screamed at the sight of her sons face, Liu and his father lend back and sat there in shock.
" What? What's wrong with my face?" Jeff asked. He got out of bed and rushed in the bathroom to look in the mirror and saw his face...it was horrible. His face was pure white from the bleach, his lips burnt into a deep shade of red, his hair was turned from brown to black; Jeff slide his fingers down his now pale white cheeks; it had sort of a leathery feel to it.
" It's not so bad, Jeff."
" Not so bad? Not so bad?! It's perfect!" He said. His family was equally surprised. Jeff started laughing uncontrollably, his mother noticed that his left eye and arm was twitching.
" Jeff, are you okay?"
" Okay? Okay? I'm better than okay! Look at me! This face goes perfectly with me! I've never felt so happy!" He said and continued laughing. Jeff's mother was starting to get worried.
" Doctor, is my son okay? You know, in the head?"
" Oh yes, this is typical behavior for a patient who's have an extreme amount of painkillers. If his behavior doesn't lighten up in a few weeks bring him back here."
" Okay...Jeff, it's time to go." Jeff's mother said.
" Kay mom." Jeff said as he followed his family out the room door.
" Okay, this is what he arrived in," the nurse said as she handed Jeff his clothes. The white hoody and black pants," it's officially blood free and all patched up."
Jeff's mother told Jeff to go put on his clothes, once he did Jeff and his family left. Not knowing that this is their last day of living.
