Is This Love?

They never realised how so quick so nice
The times, the days they spent together passed by

Somehow like a miracle why she missed him more
Why the past and her long lost love to her were nothing more

What did he find so different in her everyday?
So mesmerizing her beauty, so hypnotizing her eyes and her hair a golden hay

Why did she feel so shy when she is nearby him?
Why did she feel that there was a song she had to sing?

Every time when they were together
why is it that the heart wished it to last forever?

What was this feeling, why was this wish desperate?
Why did she fear that someday they might separate?

"I have to move to France when I win this game"
Said he and her heart broke to pieces in pain

"I have to tell you something the reason of my pain" she interrupted
As he was talking about his departure his mind suddenly shifted

To her words and he asked the mysterious reason of why she kept herself so lonely
She began to narrate the her sorrowful history

"I'm not what you see, not a person with two long legs
That walks
But I'm a mermaid, with a long strong tail that swam in the sea above the rocks

One lovely evening I discovered someone drowning
He came below, dead and I saw him so as I was swimming

He was marvellously handsome, human and deserved not die where he didnt belong
I saved him from this death, brought him ashore and stayed all long

I touched his chest to know if he was alive
He caught hold of my hand and there he was back to life

He saw me an unusual creature he heard of in a fairytale
He sat up and saw my beautiful long tail

I was frightened to death when I saw his eyes
But he smiled to me and appeared so good and wise

He was a sailor he worked by the sea
And each night we met ashore very slyly

We loved each other from the time we smooched
Every time we met and one day we decided we should

Get married and live a life we always wanted
So he turned my tail to legs keeping me in the fire surrounded

It burnt and roasted away my scales and fin
I became a human but didn't realise it was a sin

I met my father ashore and told him I loved Will
Who turned me into a human and I would marry him with my will

He already knew we had an affair secretly
As every night I came home without anyone noticing me

He rejected the relation and asked me to come back
He told that he is a human and will betray and turn his back

To me but I failed to realise thinking he was a wiser being
I didnt knew that this devil used me for his pleasure every evening

He left me abandoned with no sign
I regretted, I cried I didn't knew where to find

Him, but he never returned to the one who loved him truly
And I was left in this world all alone with no love nor family

Heartbroken I was and decided that no human could be trustworthy
And you're doing the same you befriended me but now you're leaving me

That was the great sin I had done
And I was left in sorrows from years with none"

She cried and cursed and he took her in her arms
And said "I will find you a way out of your worries"

A tear rolled down his eyes and he knew he loved her
But she belonged to a world and he promised to help her

Is this love? yes it is even if she were a different creature
But this lady ruled his heart and he shall never forget her

Even if she loved someone before him he never minded
Because now she trusts him and he loves this lady with a heart of diamond.
