Chapter 1: Home Life

"I SAID DO NOT TALK" Chris yelled to me.

"Bu-" I felt a hand come across my face.

"Go to your room." He said, shoving my shoulder.

I sprinted up to you room, holding in my tears, grasping my cheek.

"Katie please,"

"No Marcus." I replied to my older brother. I slammed my door shut and ran to my bathroom. Marcus knew exactly what I was going to do.

"Katie Lynn Cooper open this door!" Marcus shouted, continuously pounding on my bedroom door.

"Please can I just take a nap please!? That's it I swear Marcus"

It went silent. Then I heard his voice.

"Ok that better be it. Or ill go get Casper."

Casper is my neighbor across the street from my house. He's like my best friend. More of like another brother my age. 15.

Chris is my moms new boyfriend. Their practically married but they aren't officially. He lives in our house though. I will never consider him a dad. He beats me. Abuses me. Ever since he started dating my mom he has never liked me. He hits,slaps,and sometimes kicks me. And a few times he has got his lighter and held it to my skin and burned me. It's been rough these past 3 years. No one knows what Chris does besides Marcus and Casper. And my other friend knows a a little of it. Not even my mom knows. She knows we yell at each other,but he comes up to my room later and hits me. At school I just say I'm a clutz and tripped or something.

I heard Marcus walk away and I lock my self in my bathroom. Blade blade, need to find a blade. I open my drawer and in my hygiene box I had a brand new shaver. I broke the plastic around the new sharp blade and gently pressed against my skin on my arm. Feeling the metallic blood lightly flow out. I slide the blade about 5 times, with more pressure, cutting deeper every time.

About an hour or so of crying and just sitting in a little pool of blood I got up and felt weak. And collapsed back to the ground.

"Why me? Why? What did I do wrong? Hell, Im sorry! I, i,"

I let out loud sobs.

A pounding noise came from my room.

"Katie. Katie! C'mon can I come in!?"

It was Marcus.

It got louder. He was in my room pounding on my bathroom door.

"Katie lynn!"

"Go away Marcus" I mumbled.

I heard is feet scurry away.

I grasped my iPhone in my hand and turned on my music. To cry to.

'She sleeps alone my heart wants to come home. I wish I was I wish I was beside you. She lies awake. Trying to find the words to say. I wish I was I wish I was , beside you'

5SOS. They are an amazing band. They seriously have saved my life. Their not too terribly famous at the moment. Just a small punk boy band.

"Stupid Chris. I HATE YOU!!!" I yelled through my tears, that are now streaming down my face. I wrapped my arms around my legs and held myself. Man. I really need a boyfriend to hold me. Well Im not getting one. No one would want me. I'm just an ugly girl who cuts here and there to ease the pain. We're all sluts and whores the end.

There was a light knock on my bathroom door.

"W-what do y-you want!?"

Then I heard a light soothing calm voice.

"It's Casper. Let me in Katie."

****Casper's pov*****

"Let me in Katie."

She didn't answer. I feel so bad for her. She's so precious. She is one of the sweetest girls I've met.

"Katie...." I said, more stern and letting my voice linger on her name. I could just hear her light sobs.

"Katie Lynn if you don't let me in I will unlock it myself" she has a key hidden above the door frame. What a simple hiding place for a key.

I slid the key in the door lock and twisted it and pushed the door open. There she was. So fragile.

"Oh Katie." I went and scooped her up and set her on the bathroom cupboard. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her arm. I picked her up bridal style.

"I,I,Im,I'm sorry , I'm sorry casper,I I just"

"Shhhh. It's ok." I held her close and sat on her bed with her.

I kissed her head and scooted back to the wall on her bed.

"I'm sorry Casper. I'm sorry I,I"

"It's fine. Don't apologize hun." I should have been here when she first came up to her room. Chris is the devil. Who would do that to his practically daughter!!? Let alone anyone!

"Go to sleep Katie. You've got class tomorrow" I cooed to her. I soon heard her light snores with small hiccups.

Okey dokey! Well that's the first chapter for you!! Well I decided I will try to update at least 1 time a week and I will type them up through out the week. I do have 3 others but I'm planning on deleting one of them and I will try to keep them all updated!

So I am so 100% against bullying and abuse so I'm here to talk if any one needs to vent feel free to contact me.
