Chapter 2: Good morning

Katie's pov

I lifted my head from the chest I buried my head in. Casper's.

"Good morning sunshine" he said with a grin.
I smacked his arm playfully.
"Wow some sunshine you are!"

I chuckled and got off his lap. I have school today. I can actually enjoy it for a while. Kip and his friends are the most obnoxious things ever. You see, I used to date kip. And at first he was the sweetest thing. But some other kids came along and he changed. He made the football team at my school
and he got more aggressive. We dated for about a year. Half way through that year he would abuse me. Not alot but a simple slap or hit. And he'd force me to kiss him and forced me do something else. Anyway!

"What am I going to wear!?" I asked Casper, who is sitting on my bed, still with a smile on his face.

"Casper why are you so happy?"

"Aren't I always? Wow....I'm deeply offended!" He said letting out a chuckle. He doesn't act manly sometimes. Oh that boy.

"I think you should wear the pink floral shirt. NO wait omg wear your green floral with shorts and lace toms ohmegee so cute!!" He said in best girly voice.

"You sure your not gay boy??!"

"No I'm not! Would you hate me if I was?"

"No! I have nothing against them! My brothers one!"

"I HEARD THAT YOU LIAR" Marcus yelled

I put on that outfit but slipped on a hollister hoodie to cover my arms. As I continued to do my make up, Casper just sat quietly figiting with his phone.

"You called me up. Its like a broken record say that your heart hurts that you never get over him getting over you" my phone rang. That ringtone belongs to my best friend, Lauren.

"Wud wud fruit loop!?" She yelled into her phone, which was the nickname she gave me a few years back.

"Hey. Just getting ready for school with Casper."

His head popped up at the mention of his name. I mouthed it was her and he nodded his head.

"OOH MY GOSH ARE YOU TWO GOING OUT?! CUTE!" she yelled loud enough I had to pull the phone away.

"Oh no were not!"

"She wishes!" Casper yelled from my bed. I picked up a pillow and threw it at him.

"No. No were not going out!"

"Then why is he over?"

I completely forgot what happened. Why I didn't feel good.

"Umm. Just cause bye." I replied monotone fast and hung up.

I lifted my sleeves and took a good look at my arms.

"God... I'm horrible. I'm ugly. I'm. I'm. A monster."

"No. Katie lynn cooper Don't ever say that again. You are beautiful. And don't ever forget it."

"But it's true. I'm a nobody."

"No your not. You just need to stop hurting yourself babe"

"I'm not a babe. And it doesn't hurt casper! It helps! It eases the pain of what I go through!" I yelled to him. God I am a monster. I paced back and forth, tugging On my hair.

"I'm sorry casper, Im sorry for yelling now lets go." I quickly said, grabbing my backpack and ran downstairs.

"Marcus I'm heading out!" I grabbed my penny board and went out the door.

"Make sure to come right home after school!"

"I'm not going today so have fun!" Casper shouted following Marcus's remarks.

I rode my penny, which I named penguin. Yeah yah cheesy name but it's black with white wheels and it's named after Luke hemmings.

I live only about 10 minutes,about a mile from my house. My city is really small too. Huntsville, Canada. (A.N I have no clue if that's a real city) so everything's pretty near by.

"Well look who we have here!" A familiar grimacing voice. Kip. Shit.
