Stefan had opened the door before we had walked up to the doorstep. He was laughing about something that Caroline had said, as I could see her standing next to him, with her hand resting on his shoulder. They looked happy.

I smiled at them as Damon and I walked up to the door. We were all on much better terms, thankfully. Stefan and I had sorted things out, and he was definitely happy for Damon.

“Brother,” Stefan greeted Damon at the door.

Damon gave him a little smile. I could tell Damon still felt a little guilty for being with me. I squeezed his hand gently letting him know that it was totally okay.

“Hey, Stefan,” I said, giving him a hug.

I didn’t find it as awkward as Damon did. I knew he’d get past it. He just needed a little more time. The poor guy was still feeling guilty. I needed to talk to him later. Right now, we were going to try to have fun.

Once we were all seated around the table, Caroline raised a glass, “A toast! To my amazing friends, to new relationships,” she glanced at Stefan and then at Damon and me, “to a long happy summer, but mostly, to this unstoppable team that can take anything that Mystic Falls throws at us!”

“Amen!” Damon raised his glass, followed by Jeremy.

“Cheers,” Stefan also raised his glass, along with Matt and Bonnie.

“I love you guys,” I raised my glass and looked around the table.

“Aww, group hug!” Caroline got up and gestured for all of us to do the same.

“We haven’t even eaten yet, Caroline!” Damon looked appalled.

Caroline was just about to shoot him a ‘why would we be eating’ look, when Damon began to smile.

“Kidding!” he surrendered, raising his hands in the air.

Everyone laughed at that.

We all huddled in the centre of the room with our arms around each other. Damon was on my right, and Jeremy was on my left. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My best friends, my boyfriend, and my brother were all with me. Who would want anything else?

“You guys are the best,” Matt said as he hugged Bonnie and Stefan.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m really glad I met all of you…” Jeremy looked around the circle and smiled.

Damon raised his eyebrows slightly, but Jeremy saw that.

“Yes, even you Damon,” Jeremy sighed, giving Damon a little smile.

“Guys, you’re going to make me cry,” I held my two favourite men tighter.

“No. No tears. We’re going to have a blast tonight, guys! Come on, let’s watch a movie. Damon, you brought some DVDs, right?” Caroline asked.

“Yup,” Damon said. I caught him smile briefly as we walked into Caroline’s living room.

She had set up four couches and two reclining chairs around a large plasma television.

“Wow, Care…you went all out, as usual!” Bonnie looked amazed.

“Yeah, this is awesome!” Jeremy beamed.

Jeremy and Bonnie grabbed a couch for themselves, as did Stefan and Caroline. Matt sat in a reclining chair. I felt bad for Matt. God knows where Rebekah had gone. He must be a little lonely.

I was about to sit down when I noticed that Damon wasn’t there.

“Hey guys, where did Damon go?” I asked, a little panicked.
