Chapter 2: Die a Happy Man

*Emmas POV*
I got home and I already had a text message from carter.
Hey
No response.
You do realize your read receipt is on and I can see that your ignoring me right
"OH CRAP" I yell then immediately go to my settings and change it. That means everyone knows I'm ignoring them on purpose. Well they should know after they found out what happened.
I actually write a reply to him
Hi sorry about ignoring you in class.. Ive had a bad day.

It's all good.... So since we can't work on it in class should I come over to your house or you come to mine?

I'll go to yours I guess.

Okay sounds good to me.
No response. Omg I actually made plans. I haven't had plans since well you know they whole thing with matt.

Memory of Emma's:
"Hey beautiful" Matthew said to her with his eyes sparkling.
"Hey" I blushed.
"So I was thinking maybe we could go down to my farm and wash gus (Matthews cow)" he asked
"I would love too what should I wear?" I bit my lip.
"Wear a t-shirt and shorts or pants or something cuz you might get dirty" he quietly laughed.
"Okay give me like 5 minutes...maybe an hour" I said
"Okay princess, take your time" he laughed
I put on a t-shirt with jeans and converse. I Literally loved Matthew's cow. Then I put my hair up in a messy bun and put on some mascara. Twenty minutes later...
"Ok I'm done!" I say smiling
"It's about time" he chuckled
"Ok let's get going!" We got in the car and I turned up "our" song. It was a song called Die a Happy man. It was country and had a lot of meaning to it. We started to dance and sing really loud to the song. After that we started to laugh.
"You know your probably the most prettiest girl I have ever laid eyes on" Matt said
"No..." I blushed
"Yes...." He said "I can't wait to have a family with you. Our children are going to be beautiful"
The car ride went quiet while we intertwined our fingers. When we got there I immediately ran to gus. I tripped on the way.
"Omg hahahahahah are you okay???" He asked me while trying so hard not to laugh.
"You know it's okay to laugh even I'm laughing, dork." I chuckled. He laughed and then helped me up. We walked over to Gus's den and I gave him a huge hug. Then I tied the rope around him and pulled him into his washer thing. I'm not sure what it was called. I got the hose out while Matt got the soap. I started the hose Gus down while making huge mud puddles around us. Matthew came over to me and I looked at him.... We were standing 3 inches away and he looked like he was about to lean in for a kiss but then he pushed me back. I landed in a huge mud puddle.
"Are you serious right now?!" I yelled lying in a huge mud puddle looking up at him.
"Hahahahahahhah" he laughed.
"It's not funny cmon help me up!" I demanded. He held his hand for me to grab it so he could pull me up but instead I pulled him down into the mud puddle with me. I started to laugh extremely hard to the point where I was tearing up.
"Oh it's on" he said
"Wait what?" I questioned. He got up and took a huge chunk of mud from the puddle and threw it at me.
"MATTHEW HAYES CAREY!" I looked down and fake cried.
"Omg I'm so sorry em did I hurt you?" He got serious right away. Then suddenly I took a handful of mud and shoved it in his face. He took his two hands and wiped it off very slowly. Making me nervous. He looked at me and kissed me. Causing mud to get all over my face but I didn't care. I love how Matthew always have me butterflies in my stomach. He pressed his forehead against mine and said
"I think I'm madly falling in love with you Emma grace Clare."
"Me too.... I mean.. I.. I'm not falling in love with me.. I mea-" he cut me off with another kiss.
"Your too cute." He told me.
