The Unknown [Bleach Fanfic]

Prologue

Chikako's POV

"Why have you called me here, Urahara Kisuke?" I asked the now self proclaimed 'plain candy-store owner'.

He looked down at his cup of tea as he took a sip before speaking,"Chikako Itsume, I need a favor."

I raised my eyebrow,"Oh? What would that 'favor' be Kisuke?"

Kisuke took hold of the rim of his hat and sighed,"I need you to accompany someone to the Soul Society, report to me what happened, and make sure that he saves his Damsel In Distress, will ya?"

I narrowed my eyes at him,"There's more to this, I know there is. So tell me Kisuke, what are you hiding?"

He chuckled,"Oh Chikako whatever do you mean?" I gave him my,'Don't-bother-trying-to-hide-important-information-from-me-I'll-find-it-you-know-I-can-and-will, stare before he sighed turned serious,"I hid the Hogyoku inside the Damsel In Distress and Aizen is after it. I'm sending her Knight and Shining Armor to save her, yet I don't think he'll be able to stop Aizen from taking the Hogyoku from inside Rukia Kuchiki."

I sighed at him,"Kisuke, you know what the consequences are if Aizen gets hold of the Hogyoku. Was it really wise to hide it in someone's soul without their permission?", I paused for a second to see if he'd answer me before continuing,"On to the next question, whose the Knight and Shining Armor?" I asked as I took a sip of my tea.

"Ichigo Kurosaki."

I choked on my tea and looked at him with wide eyes,"I-Ichigo?"

"Hmm, you know Kurosaki?"

I sighed and looked out the window,"Of course I know him Kisuke, he's in my class." I felt the cool breeze rush through my face and looked back at Kisuke,"Why can't you send Yoruichi?"

"It's not like that, I am sending her with him but they're going to need a little bit more help, so what do you say Chi-chan, are you up for it?" Kisuke asked giving me a smile.

My right eyebrow twitched and I threw the cup in my hands to his face,"Idiot! Don't call me that stupid nickname Kisuke!" I turned my face away from him to hide my blush.

"S-sorry Chi-chan, I just can't help it. Your name is too long, Chikako is such a mouth f-UHH!" I cut him off by getting up and stepping on his stomach.

"Jackass, I told you not to call me that! If my first name is such a hassle than just call me Itsume!"

I took my foot off his stomach and sat back down as he regained his posture from before I kicked him down.

"Anyways Chikako," I looked up at him and watched as he tried to ease the pain on his face and stomach,"I need your help. Just sending Yoruichi back with Ichigo and his friends isn't enough to stop Aizen. I can't call Shinji and the others they'll just say no. I can't go inside the Soul Society because of the exile. Your the only one left I can count on. You have the ability and knowledge to help me keep the Hogyoku safe and away from Aizen's hands."

I crossed my arms together and sighed,"I'm going to regret this later, but... I'll help out the best I can Kisuke."

He took out his fan and waved it in front of his face hiding his smile,"Oh Chi-chan I knew you couldn't help but agree. I'm so glad you-"

"Shut up!" I yelled as I took my shoe and threw it.

"Chi-chan, why are you so mean to little old me?" Kisuke cried out. 

I sighed as I got up from my seat and retrieved my shoe off his bleeding nose,"I can't help that much since it's been a while, but like I said earlier I'll help the best I can."I said as I placed my shoe back on and walked towards the door,"I'll be back in 10 days time to help in your little scheme Kisuke Urahara, be ready."

"I'll be ready by than Chi-chan don't worry about it. Just make sure your ready to meet some familiar faces by than."

I chuckled at him,"Kisuke, most likely everyone has forgotten me. For the forgotten one to sneak in to the hideout of the ones who forgot will be easy, just make sure The Knight and Shinning Armor is ready to save his little Princess." I opened the door and took a step out before stopping.

"You know Chikako, I really did miss you and I'm sure everyone did as well."

I turned back at him and smiled,"I missed them too, send them my love will you Kisuke?"

Kisuke smiled at me,"I knew you cared for me Chi-chan! Of course I will!... but will you be able to do that yourself one day?"

I turned my back at him and closed the door to his shop,"I don't know if I could, but maybe one day I'll be able to see them again." I murmured quietly to myself before walking away.
