For the remainder of the school year, Logan and Naomi would sneak away to be together, often defying their friends to do so. To gain each second of time they could grasp as she had little plan for college and he had the plan to stay teaching. On the final day of school, Logan asked to see her after class and asked to meet her that night in their "usual" spot which was a tree in the small woods marked with their initials. By the fashion of the way he had done so, she believed it to be bitter news, but hoped for the best as she felt as if it was time something positive came from her misery in life thus far.

The hours grew later as she checked her phone to see where he had been. Minutes turned to hours passed the agreed time and she grew nervous. Worrying something had happened to him, she decided to begin walking in the dusk all by herself before coming across the city. Walking down the streets, she motioned towards his apartment before seeing a familiar car. Her stomach dropped instantly.

"Kirsten?" She asked herself before moving to the intercom to buzz herself up. With a delayed answer, she grew annoyed as she moved to his apartment. Climbing up the stairs, she saw just in time how Kirsten left, buttoning up her shirt. Upon seeing Naomi, she smirked and wiped her bottom lip before moving to her.

"I have one left...if I didn't tire him out." She said as she threw a condom at her. Naomi kept a cold face before Logan opened the door. Without allowing him to speak, she pushed passed him and moved herself into the apartment with tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

She threw the condom Kirsten through at her as he looked to the ground then back at her.

"Are you going to deny it?"

"Deny what?"

"Kirsten threw it at me. Saying if she didn't tire you out, I could use her last one..."

"That's not what happened-"

"Why was she here? She had no reason to be? Why?"

He came behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders before she moved away from him.

"She told me you were in trouble. Had a voice message of you sounding groggy-asking to meet her at our spot. I don't know how she knew if you didn't tell her..."

"You think I...Do you think I'm a drunken teen every Friday night? I spend most of them with you secretly making love or making out and begging to be normal. I thought it wouldn't bother me but it does. I feel like a f***ing secret and it kills me Logan!"

He was unsure what to say as he stood in front of her.

"Why didn't you meet me? If she said I was in trouble?"

"Because she stripped."

"What?"

"She was wearing a dress and dropped it. Right in front of me, not caring that I love you..."

"And you didn't take her up on it?"

"I could never be with anyone but you...you know that..."

"I don't know. It took months for you to commit to me. And to be honest, I don't know if you're seeing just me."

"I spend every night with you. If not, than it's because you have something else or I have a meeting..."

She paused as tears were pouring down her cheeks.

"Why are you so sad?"

"What are we gonna do?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm going to college-eventually and you'll be here....how will we make it work?"

Due to his silence, she moved back from him as he tried to comfort her.

"Be honest with me...." She shook as she was terrified of the truth. He nodded, to show he was listening. "Did you ever intend on making me anything more than a secret? I know we agreed at first it was okay...but after school...knowing this was my last year...did you intend of a future with me? Or just until I graduated?"

He let a deep sigh out before placing his had on her cheek, wiping away a tear. As his eyes filled as well.

"I didn't expect to fall in love with you, but I did the minute I saw you crying on that bench. Each second I got alone with you, I had to fight to keep my hands off of you."

"But?"

"But...it's exciting...it's fun and it's dangerous and it's exhilarating...but it's not realistic..." She held her stomach as her heart broke in front of her. "I love you-"

"Don't. Don't say it. Even if it's true. I don't understand why you'd say yes if you never intended on anything more than a high school booty call..."

"I was living in the moment...wanting to be with you..wanting to never part but...it's a high school dream...not reality Naomi..."

"So loving means nothing?"

"It means everything-"

"Then why are you saying goodbye-"

"I'll hold you back. You should go live and experience the photography world."

"And how can I look at a camera without thinking of all the pictures with you? The days I spent in class begging to have you just look at me. How can I love photography when the person who made me love it keeps breaking my heart."

He looked to the ground as a tear fell. With no response, as she begged internally for any word, she turned with tears and slammed the door before running home.
