Chapter 9

**Earlier that Day of Chapter 8**

Audrey's POV:

Shawn's coming over today to help me with my video well 'the coming out' video as well as making a new cover with me. We've been hard at it doing covers and deciding which covers to do on tour. I've been given the choice to do solo covers but so far I haven't done any yet. They have all been with Shawn and honestly I can't complain because he is honestly really talented. We decided to record both videos today because he wanted to be here for support you know? The cover we are also doing is 'Thousand Years' acoustic version. I've been practicing the chords needed so hopefully it goes smooth sailing from here. It's a |Wednesday so depending on how we may go it might be a double video upload on Friday. That's if Shawn decides to get his editing skills into gear and can do it. But I guess it doesn't really matter either way when he uploads as long as it's 'soon'.

I've just finished getting dressed, my black ripped skinny jeans, floral singlet with a leather jacket, a bunch of random bracelets from fans or I have bought and a beanie. It's a beautiful day today the sun is shining and I'm getting ready to set up the camera and lighting equipment for the videos. While I'm doing that I hear a faint knock on the door. "Come in!" I shout. I turn around to see mum standing there "Hey sweetie, just letting you know your father and I will be out all day for a meeting. Just in case you are looking for us. Message me if you need anything" she says while smiling.

"Okay will do mum" I smile before walking to her and giving her a kiss on the cheek and hug her. "How's things with Lauren since we last talked?" Truth be told I actually told mum about Lauren well not that I like her but that she's giving me the cold shoulder lately.

"Still the same I guess" I say shrugging.

"Maybe it's time you talked it out? I mean what's the worst that could happen"

"That's true. You're smart mum, well you know everything" Agreeing with her suggestion.

"I'm a mum it's my job to know these things" mum says winking at me.

"Okay, give me one last hug, your father and I will see you later on"

"Bye mum" I say before giving her another quick hug.

As mum exits my room I overhear another voice. "Hey Suzanne, William let me in." I knew it was Shawn. "All good Shawn! How are you? How's your parents and sister?" she asks him. "Yeah they are both good, and they told me to say hi." "Okay well I best let you get up to Audrey." "Okay bye Suzanne." "Bye Shawn."

Few seconds later I hear Shawn knock before coming in. "Hey you" he smiles placing his guitar down on the bed before opening his arms to embrace me in a hug. "Hey loser! What's been happening?" I ask him. "Not much you?" "Yeah about the same dude, keen to record thought. What should we do first?" "I think the cover and then you do the other video?" he asks. "Okay sounds good."

Shawn goes to open his guitar case and then sits on my bed. I start adjusting the camera and lighting to get the best quality. I press the record button, grab my guitar and sit down on the bed next to him. Thankfully for technology these days where you are able to cut, edit and do all that jazz with videos. "Alright 3,2,1" I say while nodding to make sure Shawn is ready.

"Hey guys it's Shawn! –" "And Audrey!" I shout at the camera before smiling and turning back to him. "And Audrey, today's scenery is a little different to where we usually film but we're at Audrey's. We will be cover 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri. We hope you like it."
