Shelby
Shelby got up from her long nap and then went back downstairs only to find the AI had gone. As well as just clock in the fact an AI was in her house, and whats better is that an AI exists and functions like a human the way she had imagined. Then she realized that her AI mother told her that she invented time travel. That was not something Shelby expected to hear. But then again she didn't expect to have a conversation with a robot that looks like her mother either.
Every thing that happened to her in the last 24 hours was making her head hurt so she took some pain killers with her breakfast. Normally she makes her self egg and toast when for breakfast but today she just had cereal. She sat at the kitchen table not knowing what was real any more. She then remembered what the AI said about her father. A happy ending with him? In the next few weeks? And then Shelby remembered that the all the AI created were of her loved ones. And there is an AI of Todd. Shelby did have a wee crush on him, but she didn't think much of it. She tries not to think of it. Think of him. His strong arms and broad shoulders. His dirty blonde hair that is always swept back, but with a tiny tress that hovers over his forehead. Oh and his eyes. His large ocean blue eyes. Sometimes Shelby wondered if he wore contacts, but she also hoped he didn't. She hoped those mesmerising aqua eyes were natural. But to be honest the chances were slim, as his sisters eyes, Belle, were brown.
Shelby was lost in a daze, thinking about Todd. And how he is a 'loved one' according to the robot that was in Shelby's house earlier. Her phone started ringing and she was brought back to reality, whatever that is, and answered her phone. She didn't have the number saved into her phone so she wondered who was calling her and how they got her number.
"Hello, Shelby here, Who is this?" She asked nervously. What if it was another AI. What if it was an evil AI. what if all the AI are evil. How could she trust anything the AI mother said?
"Hi darling," the voice said. "I, I'm your dad. Your mother gave me your number so we could arrange to meet. Your mother says your on summer break, is that right?"
"Uh... Hi... Dad." She elongated each syllable. "Uh yeah, it is my summer break, I... Uh... I'm free whenever I guess, when are you free?"
"Why do you sound so nervous, it's just me." He tried to sound reassuring. "How is Friday lunch time for you?"
"Uh, Friday lunch... Uh I... I can do that. Uh where were you thinking of eating?" Shelby sick. She waited for this moment forever but for some reason she felt like something was off. But that was probably because of everything else that has happened since the previous day.
"Hmm how about we meet up in London and have lunch in some fancy restaurant. Don't worry about the costs I will cover that for you."
"Uh sure... And don't worry about paying for me I can handle it."
"No no I will pay for your lunch, it's my treat. Anyway I will have to call you back later. Goodbye sweetie."
"Goodbye... Dad." Shelby hung up then texted her mother to ask her her if she gave her number to her dad.
A few minutes later her mother replied saying that she hadn't and Shelby started to panic. Her life is turning upside so fast. She went into her call history to see the number of he mysterious caller, but that phone all wasn't there. Just then Shelby heard a sound coming from upstairs, sounds of footsteps. She wanted to see what was up their but was too frightened and before she knew it the footsteps started down the stairs and Shelby's eyes started tearing up. And tried to call the police but her phone started vibrating rapidly and the screen had gone completely white. Her palms started to sweat and tears ran down her cheeks but she tried to remain quiet as she carefully got out of her chair and tiptoed out of the kitchen and into the living room. Her plan was to climb out of the window and run to somewhere crowded. She was breathing heavily as she got towards the window. She tried to open it as quietly as possible. When it opened she looked out the window and only just remembered she lived in an apartment and that she lived on the 3rd and 4th floor. She was currently on the 3rd floor so maybe she could jump without becoming a bloody mess on the concrete at the bottom.
