Chapter 13
---------------

Loveland, Colorado

The security supervisor was new. Come to think of it all of them were new, hired for this facility which was started operations recently. They did not know much what happened inside this facility, they just knew this, if anyone unauthorized entered this facility they had authorization to shoot and kill.

The security supervisor had been a sheriff's deputy once but moved over to the private sector which had a much better pay, he had to put a kid through college and a deputy's salary wouldn't do it.

So far his job had been pretty boring. This facility was operational but had not seen any activity. No one went in or out except his and his security team who were responsibility for the security of this facility and even they did not have access to the main warehouse, just had posts and an security office in the facility but the warehouse was off limits even for them.

He looked at his watch. He had just an hour to go off his shift and then he could go home, he turned back to his phone to restart the game of candy crush when the two way radio crackled.

"Boss, got some traffic on the road" The radio crackled. He recognized the voice immediately as one of his guards from the front gate. He wasn't overtly worried. The main gate was armored, nothing less than a tank would break through and even that he doubted.

"On my way" He replied on the radio as he got up from the comfortable warmth of his office chair and hooked the radio to his waist.

"Roger that boss" Came the crisp reply.

He stepped out of the office and rubbed his hands, the chill of the early morning biting in to him as he took quick strides towards the main gate.

He reached the gate in about five minutes as he saw some truck rumbling in the private access road meant for this facility.

A couple more guards strolled over and stood casually and their right hands casually rested on their hips just below their holster of their firearm.

The convoy came to a stop. A man got down form the driver cab and came over to the gate.

"Who is in charge here?" he asked.

"That would be me" The supervisor said from the other side of the gate.

"I got goods that need to go in"

"Authorization?" The super asked.

"Got some codes" The man responded.

"There" The supervisor pointed to a keypad on the outside of the gate.

The man fumbled for something in his pockets and then finally got out a folded piece of paper, he unfolded it and squinted at it and then finally started entering the code. As he was done, he stepped back and looked at the keypad expecting it to do something.

A shrill sound broke the silence as the lights on the electronically controlled gates turned green and slowly they rolled back.

The truck driver looked at the security supervisor and nodded and entered the cab of the truck back. A minute later the truck started and rumbled in to the facility.

The convoy then again stopped in front of the warehouse. A massive rolling overhead door was blocking their path as the man got down again and grumbled at all the work he had to do. He walked to one corner of the wall where he saw a fain green light illuminating the wall, it was another unimpressive looking keypad and he repeated his earlier activity and waited as the door came to life and rolled upwards.
