Chapter 16. Rufus Peterson.

The thing is, She's been so distant, her thoughts else where and it's scaring me. We've been seperated and it's hard to find the right moment to kiss her, to talk to her, to smile at her. Everything is hard now, it's not a perfect circle, now it's rough and square.

I want her to know I'm worried, I want her to know that She doesn't have to block me out and that she doesn't have to be afraid of not telling me what's wrong.

I am about to kiss her, just for a distraction. But, something seems more, like this is a opportunity. A opportunity, to fix things back to what we were.

I look at her in the eyes as I pull her close and She stares back, her eyes are black with lust, but there is something missing. I don't know what.

I lift her face up and as I lan down to kiss her, she wraps her arms around me. I pull her legs around my waist and find her lips.

The other thing is, that I am so glad she's back, but ever since she came back she's so different. She thinks differently.

I open her mouth with my tongue, ignoring the howls and whistles of my enemies and friends. I pay attention only to her taste, to her sound, to her feel.

I run my hands up into her hair and she groans into my mouth. 

"Kiss her man", I hear blake yell.

She blushes into the next kiss. The kisses last a while, but the soudn of shouting makes us pull apart.

I set her down and turn around to see whats happening, but Amelia catches my attention.

"What", I ask.

"I'm sorry, i didn't know I was hurting you", she says. How doesn she know that? Maybe when i was staring at her, I might of gave her a different look. My looks do seem to get me alot.

"I really am", she says softly.

"Your fine, It's just that I was worried", I say as we turn our attention to the shouting.

The guys are fighing off the soldiers like they are flies.

Suta is already in the cave, I'm guessing, since the gate to the cave is wide open.

Amelia starts to run toward it and I run after her, making sure that the soldiers don't attack her.

Well, we aren't caught, and the others are almost down knocking out the soldiers, a few are running to the gate opening.

I hold it open for them and wait for the last of us. We need to hurry, who know when they will wake up.

When I enter the cave, it's cold and there is steps that lead down further into the earth.

I follow behind Chet, since he was last.

"You know that was a damn of a kiss right", he says.

I blush, thankful it's so dark.

"That bad huh", I ask.

"Well, is it bad that the soldiers noticed you guys making out and started to look like they were going to kill you," he says as i laugh. My laughter bounces off the cold walls.

The stairs soon end into a lond hallway of rooms without doors. There's cots in a few and then theres a wooden bed in three rooms. The hallway gives way to a living room with a furnace, carved out of the stone walls. and a couch with a coffee table in front of it.

Suta stands in front of the furnace starting a fire, while his sister looks at the pictures on the bookshelf above the fireplace. They are talking to each other in hushed voices as we all find somewhere to sit.

"So, what are we going to do now", Chet asks.

"I think we'll stay here a few nights, unless those soldierss intrude, but they aren't allowed down here," he says as Amelia asks him something.

"Yeah, I don't know if there's food, but there's water", he replies as she leaves the room.

"Okay," Chet says.

"But, The stuff is outside, so we'll have to get our stuff, you guys can take the rooms in that hallway you passed, Me and my sister and staying in my parents," he says gesturing to a dark corner, which is actually a stare case down farther into the earth.

How big is this place?

"Lets go get our things, any of you that need the bathroom, just ask amelia she'll show you where it is, for the time being if you need me I'll be down in the lab, none of you are allowed down there, but you can get Amelia to get me, so you guys go get your things," he says.

Is there something down there we can't see?

Amelia returns with her bag and his.

she smiles at me as I leave with the guys.
