"Sir, are we to continue searching?" Asked Captain Phasma as Kylo Ren approached her, Serer unconscious in his arms.

"We have what we need." Responded Ren heavily, his eyes shifting down upon Serer.

Ren watched Captain Phasma nod and report to the others, most likely telling them it was time to return to StarKiller Base.

His eyes now moved towards her blood stained arm. It would, without a doubt, need to be cleansed and bandaged. That is, if he wanted her to live. Ren could have easily killed her, but he knew that if she was able to be turned against everything she stood for, she would be a vital help to their cause. She could be the key they've been searching for, the key he'd been searching for.

As he walked up the loading ramp of his command shuttle, he came to the realization of what was truly happening. Looking down through his mask upon her face, he remembered her vividly. How she used to be one of the strongest in the Jedi program, and the connection he would feel when in close range of one another. He had no doubt she had felt it too, but it was a feeling which was indescribable and almost unnatural.

The journey back to StarKiller Base didn't take too long, but as they arrived, he felt the girl stir within his grasp. Tightening his grip, as though to ensure her not to fall, the loading ramp fell and he walked from the command shuttle.

"Sir, is she to be tortured?" Questioned Captain Phasma in her sly tone of voice, almost pleading that his answer would be positive.

"She is not to be harmed in any way, but the wound on her arm cleansed and bandaged. I want her alive." Ren responded as almost a threat to the Captain.

"We'll see what can be done." She answered quickly.

"Unless you wish to keep that helmet on your head and not in the garbage compactor, I suggest she be alive and well when I visit." This time it was a threat.

"Yes, sir." Captain Phasma responded before walking out of his range of sight.

He held onto the girl before deciding to take her to the medical center himself. Her survival was crucial, meaning that her life was too important to be trusted in the hands of Stromtroopers.

...

Serer awoke in a cell consisting of metal walls with one door, which was sealed tightly shut, and a rectangle shape indented into one of the walls. Crawling slowly out of the indent in the wall, she took off her jacket and looked at her arm which was now bandaged. Naturally her belt was missing, along with all her possessions besides her articles of clothing.

She walked over to the door, wondering  if there was a way to crack the security. But as she was there examining it, the door slid open to reveal Kylo Ren. She fell backward onto the cold floor in fear and surprise.

"Good. You're awake." He spoke as the door swiftly closed behind him. Serer backed away until there was no where left to go.

"What do you want?" She asked through her struggle of fighting back tears.

"I've come here with a proposition for you." Ren responded simply, walking over and taking a seat inside the indent of the wall.

"I will not." Serer hissed at him venomously.

"If you wish to stay alive, you will join me." He growled at her.

"Why have you done this?" She questioned him softly, tears now making a appearance in her eyes.

"This is who I am." He responded simply and almost with gentleness in his tone.

"But it's not who you have to be." Serer retorted, now standing from the floor and walking over towards him. "I know who you truly are."

"You don't know anything." His voice growled as his mask now lifted as though making eye contact with her.

"I know more then you think, Ben." Serer spoke out of fear and courage.

He now stood and began to close to space between them. Serer backed away, feeling the dangerous energy in the small cell.

"After all this time, why now?" She questioned him harshly as her back collided with one of the metal walls. He began to walk towards her once again, filling the space between them. "Why now have you come looking for me? You knew I was alive!"

He reached up and unlatched his mask, dropping it to the metal floor, revealing a face she hadn't seen in years. A face which was burned in her mind as someone who was a murderer, but also a friend.

"The darkness will overpower you." He spoke without the distortion of the mask, causing a chill to creep down her spine. His voice was much deeper from what she remembered it being, as was his hair longer, but his eyes remained the same.

"But perhaps you will succumb to the light." She whispered, reaching up to touch his face, but he turned around quickly and stormed away from her to the other side or the cell. She could hear him breathing heavily.

"Don't you see?" Serer asked him hopelessly. "It's always been you. But you were the one to destroy all we had."

"Your pleads are too late. Ben Solo will forever be but a memory in your mind! We were young and foolish-" He spoke harshly.

A single tear fell from her face and onto his mask which now laid upon the floor. "And yet, here we are. Two of the opposite sides reminiscing on how we used to be the same."

"Those days are gone." He spoke. "I am gone."

"Is that what you truly believe?" Serer pleaded, dropping to her knees she picked up the heavy mask. "Because that isn't what I see. I still see the very same eyes which looked into mine all that time ago."

His body now tensed as it turned back around to face Serer, in her hands his mask. He mouth fell slightly agape as he looked upon her, hurt and scarred.

"We can make things right, you won't ever have to be alone again. I promise you." She spoke silently, walking towards him, holding his mask out before her.

Ren's heart shattered seeing her in such distress, but he knew that only weakness came with compassion.

"You're promises mean nothing to me now. You will join the darkness or die by me, as did your brother." He said, swiping the mask from her hands as tears violently fell from her eyes.

"You truly are a monster." Serer whispered as Ren opened the cell door, and shut it harshly behind him.

Securing his mask back into place, he knew that his love for her must turn to hatred, or she would seduce him back to what he hated most.
