Four days later...

The time had finally arrived for the Resistance to make their first move with the rescue mission. Poe climbed carefully into the seat of his designated Resistance X-Wing. His heart pounded inside his chest as the rest of his team climb into their X-Wings. The mission was going to be tricky, but he knew that it would all be worth it to bring Serer back.

"Nervous?" Asked Jonjo as he climbed into an X-Wing himself, placing a helmet on his head as Poe did the same.

"Aren't we all." Chuckled Poe while buckling himself in. While doing so, his hand touched the hilt of Serer's lightsaber. He was in fact very nervous, but decided against allowing it to show.

"This is it, let's show the First Order what the Resistnace can do!" Spoke Poe into the headset of his helmet as each X-Wing's engine roared to life.

...

Serer now sat stilled in the chair Ren had occupied days earlier. She hadn't spoken or seen him since then. Quite frankly, she hadn't spoken or seen anyone in days.

The metal door suddenly opened to reveal a lone Stormtrooper. She now stood from the chair, narrowing her eyes towards him, and noticing he had no weapon in hand.

"Are you Serer?" The Stormtrooper asked, standing in the doorway.

"What's it to you?" She questioned, crossing her arms in annoyance. Truthfully, her mind wasn't set on having a small talk conversation.

The Stormtrooper quickly stepped inside the room, coming face to face with Serer. "I want to help you out of here."

"Help? From a Stormtrooper?" Questioned Serer with doubt in her voice. "What's in it for you?"

"I want to go back to the Resistance with you." The Stormtrooper responded almost breathlessly under his helmet. "Will you help me if I help you?"

"How do I know this isn't a set up? That we will leave this bedchamber and meander before catching ourselves in a trap?"  Questioned Serer, considering his offer intently.

"Look, I know StarKiller Base better than anyone. I patrol the halls everyday, I think I know my way around." Retorted the Stormtrooper proudly. "We don't have much time. The First Order already knows your Resistance associates are already in route."

"They're coming?" Serer spoke, relieved at the thought of seeing Poe once more. "Then what are we waiting around for!"

"That's what I've been - Never mind, let's just get going." Spoke the Stormtrooper, grasping Serer's arm. "Follow my lead."

"It depends on who has the quickest mind to follow." Responded Serer as they walked out from her bedchamber, the metal door closing behind them.

"Ren should be occupied with the Resistance. That will buy us some time." The Stormtrooper responded.

"But not much." Retorted Serer. "Don't allow yourself to feel secure, we're not out of here yet."

They walked nonchalantly, trying to avoid any attention from passing Stormtroopers.

"I must be insane." Serer heard the Stormtrooper whisper. "Who in their right mind would do this?"
