After a few days, you convinced your school and manager to do online school and to work from home. You stayed in your house, refusing to leave, but you knew eventually you would have to if you wanted to get food, you were running low. As you grabbed your keys, wallet, and jacket you heard a thud coming from your room. You immediately froze. After a few moments of not hearing anything, you quietly grabbed the baseball bat that you kept next to your door and cautiously moved towards your room.

You saw the door handle turning, making your heart beat faster; faster and louder than before. You got the bat ready to swing as the door opened to reveal a familiar blue mask and a pair of empty, black eyes. "Oh god. You scared the shit out of me...uh...Jack was it?" You said. He nodded, "Or EJ if you want. Sorry for scaring you."

"U-um..so..did you need something?" You asked, slowly putting the bat down, next to the door. "Not really, I just checking on you, beautiful. I saw that you never left your house, so I thought you were kidnapped again."

"O-oh...but I barely know you? Are you really that worried about me?" You were blushing by this point. Then you realized that he got through your window...that was locked. "H-how'd you get in here?"

"Oh...Well, I used my scalpel. Sorry, I know how to pick locks pretty well..."

"Why?"

"Well...my 'job' description basically requires it I guess."

"What job is that?"

"...You really don't want to know the answer to that."

Not wanting to push it, you dropped the question and awkwardly stood there. "Well, I'm gonna go to the store now, I need to get more food and stuff...so..you can come if you want. But...are you gonna keep wearing that mask?" You asked. "Well, yeah." He replied. "Sorry if I ask too many questions, but why?"

"U-uh, well my face is pretty weird and stuff, so yeah..." He said, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's alright! You shouldn't have to feel insecure, you know. But, whatever is more comfortable for you I guess. Alright, let's go." You said, smiling and heading towards the door.

--EJ's POV--
This girl is making me crazy! She's so adorable. I'm glad I saved her, I knew she was cute and nice from the start, I just...what the hell am I thinking? I'm a KILLER for cryin' out loud! I don't need to be worrying about this girl!

     ...

Okay you know what, fuck it, I do like her. Anyways, we headed outside and got into her car. She stuck her keys in the ignition, only to find it wouldn't start. "God dammit." She whined, getting out of the car and opened the hood, peering inside. I followed her, also looking inside. "Well...I'm gonna need a jump-start." She said. I looked around to see if any of her neighbors were out and about, but everyone seemed to be gone or inside. "Well, there's nobody around...unless you wanna go knock on doors?" I said.

She thought for a moment then decided that we should just walk instead, the store wasn't that far away and she was glad I was with her because she would have just never gone in the first place if she was alone. That made me feel happy, I was like her own body guard or something.

We made it to the store after about 20 minutes and jeez people were just so rude sometimes. People would keep staring and give stupid remarks whenever they saw me. And I forget why I usually am out and about during the night... What confused me most about this whole situation was that (y/n) did not seem to care about what anyone thought. I felt so happy. For once, I could feel acceptance, which I haven't felt in a long time, besides from Slender and everyone else at the mansion of course.

I really do like this girl.

--3rd Person POV--
You and EJ returned home with four bags of groceries. You sighed and set the bags on the kitchen counter and began unpacking them and placing them in their correct spots. "Thanks again, EJ. I probably wouldn't have any food left if it weren't for you." You said, as you finished putting the groceries away. "No problem, beautiful." He said. "You know I have a name...speaking of which, how did you know my name the other day? You know, when you saved my ass from that creepy guy?"
"Oh. Yeah, well...okay this is gonna sound super creepy, but I asked some people and stuff and kinda just found out about you. I saw you like three weeks ago and I just had to know your name."
"Yeah...that does sound weird. But, whatever, you seem like a nice dude." You said as you smiled.

Then EJ's phone buzzed from his pocket. He pulled it out and checked the message. "Damn, I gotta go, (y/n). See ya around! Oh, and here." He said, handing you a piece of paper before bolting out the door.

You stood there a bit confused. You opened the small note, which revealed a phone number. EJ's phone number to be precise. "Sweet, got his number. I really don't mind where this is going." You said to yourself while giving a small giggle.

"Well, see ya around too, EJ."
