Chapter 3

~The Sleepover~

*Cheyenne's P.O.V.*

I went over to Haley's house at about 9:00 am. I'm so excited for this but at the same time I'm a little sad. This will be the last time I can hang out with Haley. Don't think about that right now, Cheyenne. Just focus on having fun with Haley. I knocked on the door. I was greeted by her parents. I went in.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold. How are you today?"

"Hello, Cheyenne. We're great. You?" Her mother asked.

"I'm doing swell. Thank you for asking," I replied. People have always told me I'm good with adults because I'm always so "proper." I can kinda see it now.

"Haley should be down in a little bit. She's just getting dressed but until then, make yourself at home. If you need anything just let us know," Her father replied.

"Thank you, Mr. Arnold. And I hope I'm not being a burden by staying the night," I replied.

"Oh no. Not at all. We always enjoy having you over, Cheyenne," her mother said.

"Okay. Again. Thank you so much for letting me come over."

"It's our pleasure," they said in unison.

Then Haley came down.

"Hey, Cheyenne! I hope my parents weren't bothering you," she stated.

"No. Not at all. I love talking to you parents," I replied with a smile.

"Ok then. Well come on up and we can start to have fun!"

We went up to her room. It was covered with pictures of YouTubers that she obviously printed out from the Internet. See. The great thing about having a friend who likes all of the same things you like is great because you can fangirl together.

"Oh my god. Did you see danisnotonfire's new video?!" Haley exclaimed.

"Yes! It was perfect!"

"Do you want to go penny boarding around the neighborhood?"

"Sure! Thank god I brought mine."

She went to go get her penny board and then we were off.

~Riding Around The Neighborhood~

"So. You excited about living in the same state as ThatSoJack?" Haley randomly asked while we were penny boarding.

"I guess but what am I going to do without my best friend?"

"What am I going to do without mine?"

"I'm not sure. You and I have always been like paper and glue; inseparable."

"Haha. Yeah... I'm gonna miss doing stuff like this with you..."

"Me too... but lets enjoy our tine together while we still have it."

"You're right. Lets just focus on having fun!"

"Yeah! I'll race you down the hill."

"Alright. Let's do this!"

We both started going down the hill pretty fast. I won because I'm just a boss ass bitch.

"I'm a boss ass bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch," I sang. I was also doing a really weird dance.

She laughed.

"Lets get back to my house. It's almost time for lunch!" Haley exclaimed.

Lunch already? Have we been penny boarding for that long? I looked at my watch. It read 11:45. I guess so.

~Back At The House~

Oh. My. God. Haley's mom makes amazing udon. It was to die for.

"Oh my gosh. Your udon is amazing Mrs. Arnold. You're an amazing cook," I said.

"Why thank you Cheyenne. At least someone appreciates my cooking," she replied while looking at Haley.

"What? I never said I DIDN'T appreciate your cooking," Haley replied.

Her mother just rolled her eyes. I let out a small chuckle. Haley playfully hit me back. I hit her back. Then we looked at each other and chuckled.

~That Night~

Haley and I are planning on pulling an all nighter even though I have to catch a plane tomorrow morning.

"You need to text me when you get to Connecticut and send me a pic of your new house," Haley said.

"I will. I just don't know what I'm going to do without you. We've been through everything together."

"Yeah. But let's not think about that right now. Let's focus on having fun!"

"Ok. You know how I have a crush on Kyle?"

"Yeah. You should tell him. I mean you'll probably never see him again so you have nothing to lose."

"You're right. I'll call him right now!"

I grabbed my phone out of my bag and I dialed the number.

"Hey Cheyenne! What's up?" Kyle asked.

"Hey Kyle and you know how I'm leaving tomorrow right?"

"Yeah. I'm gonna miss you."

Aw...

"Well, there's something I need to tell you."

"Ok. What is it? You can tell me anything. We're best friends."

"Well, the truth is... I've always thought of you as more than a friend..."

"Really?!"

"Yup! Bye!"

"But--"

I hung up.

"Cheyenne! What'd you do that for?!"

I shrugged my shoulders. Then he called. Oh shit.

"Answer it!"

"No! You talk to him!"

"Fine. Hand me your phone."

I did as she said. She answered and put it on speaker.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hello? Haley? I thought I called Cheyenne's number."

"You did. It's just that she can't come to the phone right now. She's asleep and I just answered her phone because idk."

Nice save Haley.

"Ok... Anyways can you tell Cheyenne something for me?"

"Yeah. What is it?"

"Can you tell her that... I'm going to meet her at the airport tomorrow because I have to tell her something and the thing I want to tell her is something that needs to be between her and I."

"Ok. I'll tell her."

"Thanks Haley. Well, I have to go. I'll talk to you later."

"Ok. Bye."

Then she hung up.

"He likes you," said Haley.

"How do you know?"

"Because, he wouldn't have called back if he didn't like you."

"I'll guess we'll see tomorrow. I think I'm gonna hit the hay. I can't wait for tomorrow but at the same time I don't want tomorrow to come. I'm gonna miss you."

"We'll say our goodbyes in the morning. Let's just go to sleep."

She turned off the light. I tweeted something. I soon drifted off to sleep.
