Chapter Eight

After walking around the party a little more , Traver finally approached me while I was talking with Jas'maria.

"Hey , can I speak with you real quick?" He yelled to me over the music.

"Why ?" I rolled my eyes at him which he looked shocked about.

"That's my que to go." Jas'maria picked up her drink and walked away from the both of us.

"What's up ? What's wrong ?" He screamed over the music . I looked around pretending not to hear him as he sighed pulling me away from the crowd.

"Where are we going ?" I scoffed until we came to a stop in a large room. It was empty but there was tons of trophies , jewelry & posters everywhere.

"Why are you being so ... I don't know . Why are you ignoring me?"

"Why ? Not like you care anyways."

"What do you mean? Of course-"

"I saw you kissing Jazmine Traver so don't even try to lie."

His eyes widened as he took in what I just had told him.

"How do you know that ? Were you snooping in my room?"

"No , I just got lost and went in." I folded my arms looking down.

I heard him sigh again as I played with my fingers.

"Look , Jazmine didn't mean anything if that's what you think."

"Oh really ? Then why didn't you tell me about her before instead of smiling in the both of our faces at school ?"

"Because I thought you would've turned me down . "

"I wouldn't have turned you down . Maybe ." I shrugged." Yeah , I think I would've turned you down , only because it would've felt weird though."

"See because truth be told ." He looked down putting his hands in his pockets."I really like you okay ? There I know I stated the obvious but I just wanted you to know . Look I can go tell Jazmine in front of everyone that the kiss didn't mean anything because that's how sorry I feel. I understand that you don't want to talk to me anymore , but I just hope that you can forgive me." He looked back up at me and

I can tell that his words were sincere.

"Look Traver." I sighed and put on a small smile."I'll forget about it if you do."

"So does this mean you forgive me?" A small grin crept on his face.

"Yeah I forgive you."

"Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !" He hugged me picking me up & spinning me around.

As he came to a stop he slowly put me down staring down at me as I stare up at him. Our lips soon felt the urge to start pulling in towards each other until we were interrupted.

"Hey !! Oops , this isn't the bathroom." Violet barged in and slowly made her way out.

"Um." I cleared my throat."W-We should really get back to the party."

"Y-Yeah , um yeah right this way." He snapped out of it and led me out of the room.

Well I think we can put plan A on a hold real quick. Right ?

After the party was over it was around 2 am and we all hopped into Traver's car as he gave us a ride home.

He pulled up to the house and Violet & Allena got out and went in. He walked me to the door and we stood in a comfortable silence.

"So um , what are you doing for Spring Break?" He asked cutting the silence.
