Jenna's POV

---------

I sat back down on Ashton's bed and took a few deep breaths. How could Michael be his band mate? I don't think it'll be bad considering I never did anything to Michael. Michael and I were friends before I even dated that loser. I let out a sigh and ran my hand through my hair. I heard footsteps coming down the hall and I tried to act like I wasn't just freaking out over my ex's best friend.

"So, the boys are actually really excited to meet you." I looked up and saw Ashton in just his boxers and sweatpants. He was shirtless. I cleared my throat and nodded.

"I actually know the one guy."

"Really? Who?" He threw his shirt on and I thanked God before replying.

"Michael. He uhm...he was my ex's best friend."

"Oh. Wait. What was your ex's name?" I raised an eyebrow and hesitated before answering.

"Luke. Why?" He but his lip while scratching the back of his neck.

"Luke. Luke Hemmings?" He questioned, sighing.

"Yeah, why? Do you know him?" He let out a nervous chuckle and nodded. He picked up the photo of him and his band mates. The one that I looked at earlier.

"He's the lead singer." He pointed and I felt my eyes almost pop out of my head. How did I not see him before? I must've been fixed on seeing Michael.

"Oh." I whispered.

"Hey. I can take you home if you don't feel comfortable considering Luke will be there."

"No. It's fine. I dumped him. It's not like it'll affect me in any way." He nodded and grabbed his drum sticks.

"You ready then? It's an hour drive to get to Calum's house."

"Why does he live so far away?"

"Calum doesn't really like the whole 'school' thing. So, he's home schooled. He moved last year." I nodded and stood up, grabbing my bag before we left his house.

On the way there, I couldn't get Luke out of my head. How bad is this going to be? I shouldn't be so nervous. He got a lot more handsome over the years I'll tell you that. He still has that lip ring too. I sighed to myself and Ashton looked over at me.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

"I can turn around and take you home Jenna." I shook my head and he pulled over. "Look. Considering he knows you and you've dated before, he's probably going to start saying shit to you. I know you'll probably say no but I have an idea."

"What kind of idea?"

"To make sure Luke doesn't say shit to you." I nodded for him to continue and he chuckled. "Well...we could pretend to be together. You know...boyfriend and girlfriend." I felt my cheeks flush and my heart fluttered for a second.

"W-what? That's crazy. It'll never work." He sighed and nodded, driving away.

Should I have taken up on his offer? And why did my heart do that? Do I like Ashton? No. I can't. Okay maybe. I stared out the window and tried to relax for the rest of the drive.

Ashton's POV
----------
We arrived at Calum's and Luke was outside at his car. I looked at Jenna and she tended up.

"You have the next 10 seconds to change your mind about my idea." Her eyes grew wide and she looked at Luke and then me.

"Alright fine." She said, sighing. "Let's go babe." She winked and I chuckled before getting out. I walked over to her side and opened the door for her.

"Come on baby girl." Her cheeks flushed and I held out my hand. She took it and I interlocked our fingers before shutting her door. We turned towards the house and Luke was staring at us.

"Jenna?" He called out. "It's been a long time." He said and Jenna nodded. "I see you're with Ashton now. You made a good choice." I looked at her and she smiled at me. When we looked back towards where Luke was, he was gone.

"Let's go in shall we?" She nodded and we kept our fingers interlocked as we walked inside.

"Jenna?" We looked towards the voice and saw Michael. "Oh my god. How've you been." He opened his arms and she hugged him.

"I've been alright. You?"

"Good. Good." He looked towards Me and I wrapped my arm around Jenna's waist. "You two?" He questioned pointing at us.

"Yes." I said and he smirked.

"Alright. Good choice Jenna." He winked before walking away, turning around after a few seconds. "Band practice is in the basement. Come down when you're ready. I'll let cal know you're here." I nodded and he left.

"You alright?" I asked and looked at Jenna.

"Yeah. I'll be okay." I smiled softly at her and she smiled back. "Let's go." She said and I guided her to the basement.

Band practice went smoothly and Jenna clapped for us after every song.

"You guys were great." She said to me and I hugged her.

"Thanks love." She was blushing when I pulled away and I chuckled. "Well boys. I better get going so I can get Jenna home. I'll see you three at my house tomorrow night?" They nodded and Jenna waved goodbye before we walked upstairs. "See you didn't have anything to worry about."

"Yeah. Thanks Ashton. I owe you one."

"No you don't. You're tutoring me. That's the least I could do to repay you." She smiled softly at me and I took her home. I walked her to her front door and she smiled at me. "I'll see you at school?"

"Yeah." She said and I gave her a hug goodbye, kissing her cheek softly. "Goodnight Ashton." She went to open her door and I stopped her for a second.

"Are you going to stay for practice tomorrow? It's Friday night so you might have plans, but I was just wondering."

"I would love to stay to watch you guys practice." She kissed my cheek and opened her door. "Goodnight and thank you for the rides."

"Goodnight Jenna." I whispered, smiling softly before walking to my car. I sat in it, watching the front door close. When I saw a bedroom light turn on, I sighed and started my car.

I think I like Jenna.
