THIS CHAPTER IS MAINLY JUST ASHTON'S THOUGHTS ABOUT EVERYTHING AND THERES A SMALL TIME JUMP

Ashton's POV
----------------
Jenna texted me at 2:30 in the morning to remind me about her cousin's wedding. Why she was up at 2:30 was too much to think about. I simply texted her I remembered...ill be at your house by 10 before trying to go back to sleep. I haven't been able to sleep right since last Friday. Luke hasn't spoken to me and band practice is beyond awkward. Michael and Calum know about the whole Jenna and I not dating thing, but I'm not sure if Luke does. Oh what do I care? He said some rude shit about her and I never expected him to be like that towards anyone. He's usually so sweet and gentle with people's feelings, but with Jenna he's so different.

After two hours of tossing and turning, I decided to just get up and make some tea. Tea usually helps me when I can't get a good night's rest. I yawned as I sat up in bed, stretching before making my way to the kitchen. As I crawled upstairs, I was trying so hard not to spill my tea. I filled it up a little too much. I walked into my room and sat the cup down on the night stand.

As the cup began to shake, I realized my phone was vibrating. I sighed and grabbed it, seeing that Jenna was calling me.

"Hey beautiful." I answered and I could hear her crying on the other end of the phone. "Are you alright?"

"Ashton," she sobbed. "My mom's working the late shift at the hospital and I'm home alone. L-Luke just broke into my house and he...oh god please come over."

"Jenna, what did he do? Did he hit you?"

"N-No. Well...yes. Please...Ashton, come over." I began to slide on my jeans and shirt before answering. "Hello?"

"Yeah, I'm here. I'll be there as soon as I can. Stay calm." She whispered a soft please hurry and hung up. I slipped my jacket on, zipping it as I slid on a pair of shoes. I probably looked like a bum, but hey Jenna needs me. I grabbed my keys and ran out to my car, driving to her house. It was raining pretty heavily and I was scared that I was going to wreck.

I got to her house and the front door was wide open. I shut the car off, running inside her house, shutting the door behind me. I ran upstairs to find her in her room in the fetal position, rocking back and forth on the floor. Her room was trashed.

Did Luke do this?

I scooped her up in my arms and she threw her arms around my neck, tightly hugging me.

"Jenna," I whispered, kissing her temple. "What happened? What did Luke do?"

"I was sitting on the couch downstairs watching a movie and I heard a crash up here. I walked into my room and saw Luke in here and my door to my balcony busted off the hinges. I screamed at him and he walked over to me, slapping me across the face. I fell on the floor and he stepped over me, walking over to my closet. He...he took out this box that I had with some stuff from when we were together. He laughed and threw all of the frames on the ground, resulting in glass all over my floor. He destroyed everything in that box. I managed to stand up and he pushed me, causing me to fall backwards onto my bed. He...he got on top of me and kissed me. Then, he...oh god I can't even say it."

"Jenna...what did he do to you?" I already had a gut deep feeling and I didn't even want to hear it come from her mouth. I know what Luke is capable of and I know of some things he has done. I'm praying she doesn't say what I'm thinking.

"It...it starts with a R and ends in an E." She whispered and I gasped, holding her even tighter. That's exactly what I was thinking. Oh my god...this poor girl.

"Jenna...no." She nodded and began to cry even more.

"I begged him not to do it and he wouldn't stop. After it happened, he just got dressed and left. I put my clothes back on and tried to clean up the glass from the pictures. I ended up just crying on the floor. That was when I called you." I rubbed her back and kissed her forehead.

"It'll be alright. I'm here now. I won't ever let him near you again. I'll call the cops, too."

"No Ashton. Don't. He...he was drunk. It was so obvious. He didn't know what he was doing."

"We can't just let him get away with it, Jenna." She nodded and I sighed. "If you don't want me to say anything, I won't."

"Really?" I nodded and she gave me a small smile. "Ashton?"

"Hmm?" I cooed, tucking some of her hair behind her ear.

"W-would you mind staying here with me? I'm scared that he'll come back."

"Of course I'll stay here with you. Come on...I'll tuck you in and then I'll clean up this mess. I can probably try to fix that door too. It's raining quite heavily outside and I don't want your room to get wet." She nodded and I laid her down on her bed, covering her up and tucking her in. I cleaned up the glass and walked over to her door. I sighed and stood it up. "This is pretty bad. Do you have anything I could use?"

"There might be some tools in my closet. I used to do hardware crafts when I was little." I smiled at her and walked into her closet, finding just what I needed to fix her door.

I eventually fixed it and it was as good as new. I shut the door and put the tools back where I found them. I looked at her and she was out cold.

"Goodnight Jenna. I'll be right here when you wake up." I kissed her head and took a seat in a nearby chair at the desk in her room.

How could Luke do that to her? She's such a sweet and innocent girl. I want to be able to protect her. How? I'm not sure. I could ask her to be my girlfriend. Although, I've never had a girlfriend before and I'm not really sure how that whole thing works. I sighed and closed my eyes.

"That's something to worry about another day." I whispered to myself, eventually falling asleep.

Damn Luke's an ass. Only in the story though. He's such a sweetheart in reality.
