Hey guys this is a quick little chapter! I didn't have enough time this week to write a chapter that takes place in the show so I came up with my own little in between thing! I hope you like it guys!

It was fairly silent, despite the sound of the wind whipping outside the windows and the tires rolling over the street.
My painted nails drummed along the arm rest with a song I couldn't identify, it was like listening to something while wearing earmuffs, you can hear the tones of someone's voice, but never the exact words.
"Lyra." A sweet voice said.
I turned my head slowly and laid my eyes upon my mother, her raven black hair falling in soft curls down her slim back and her wide blue eyes trained on the road. She looked the same as the last time I had seen her. The exact same rosy flush of life to her cheeks and that one off hair out of place.
She couldn't have looked more perfect.
"Yeah mom?" I asked, my own voice coming out strangely, foreign almost.
"I've missed you sweetheart." She cooed, her glossed lips curving into a smile as she turned the steering wheel of our car.
"What do you mean mom, I haven't left you?" I asked with a little confused laugh. As far as I had known, my mother has never spent a day away from me since I was born.
A soft sigh left her lips, her eyes flicking to me then back at the road. "It'll make sense soon, honey."
My eyebrows crinkled in confusion, but I dismissed her words and looked back out the window, watching the thick trees roll by.
"Things are going to get difficult soon honey, I need you to understand that. No matter what, you can't give up, when you feel like the world is crumbling and forcing you down, you need to be strong and stand back up. Don't let it force you down, you're strong." She said, her soft voice turning steely.
"Mom, I don't understand." I replied, brushing my strawberry blonde curls away.
"I know, it doesn't make sense now but I promise it will soon. Beacon Hills is in danger, and soon you're going to need to make a choice." She said, her knuckles were practically white, the skin straining over the bone as her fingers clenched the wheel.
"We haven't lived in Beacon Hills for years mom." I said, my head was starting to hurt. I couldn't understand what was going on. Mom had heated Beacon Hills, she said she didn't want me growing up there any longer so we moved. I never thought I would hear her talk about that town again.
A frustrated puff of air left her mouth as her right hand released the steering wheel, pulling her hair back from her face.
"Just listen to me, Lyra." She demanded, her posture stiff. "You need to find him."
"Find who?" I asked.
"The only one who can help you." She answered, the car swerving slightly beneath us.
"Mom?" I asked.
"You need to wake up sweetie, I'm sorry." She whispered as a large moving van came out of no where.
"Mom look out!" I screamed as the van collided with the car, my vision going black.

My eyes snapped open and my body was frozen with terror.
I had relieved the very accident that had ended my mothers life. The words we had spoken to each other were completely different, though.
