For every time you threw me away,
I wouldn't be in debt.
If I had a nickel
For every time you beat me,
I could follow my dreams.
If I had a dime
For every time I was called worthless,
I could live without fear.
If I had a quarter
For all the things you did,
Maybe I could still live.
