I hide behind a mask,
Never forgetting it's there.
I hide behind a mask,
Yet no one seems to care.
I hide behind a mask,
And who is this is see?
I hide behind a mask,
It seems I'm no longer me.
I hide behind a mask,
I'll never let you know.
I hide behind a mask,
I can't bear to see you go.
I hide behind a mask,
I'm broken inside.
I hide behind a mask,
The real me has died.
I hide behind a mask,
I'm just an empty shell.
I hide behind a mask,
I'm never escaping this hell.
I hide behind a mask,
This is all that's left.
I hide behind a mask,
I'm nothing more than a bereft.
I hide behind a mask,
The insanity's closing in.
I hide behind a mask,
I'm letting it win.
The mask I hide behind,
Has now begun to crack.
And as I end it all,I have no regrets
There's no way I'm taking it back.
