Hypocrites

You know honey,
I don't think it's really fair.
For you to accuse me of cheating-
In the wee hours of the morning,
When the day is early yet-
When I have done no such thing
(At least, I've tried).
I have been nothing but faithful,
Well, as much as a human can get.
You see,
If I were to condemn you to the same,
I'd be justified as well.
Because you see,
We all cheat.
(No, not that affair we are known to have,
With sneaky two-faced liars
Who end up getting caught.
No, this is a more public display,
One we all do).
Not intentionally, no.
But Time here has other plans;
She- or he, or them- likes to screw around,
With you, me, that little kid:
Everyone is fair game.
So for you to accuse me of cheating,
When you have so blatantly have as well,
Is a little hypocritical you see?
For we're all fucked by Life,
And screwed by Time
(They plan these affairs together, I swear-
Scratch that, they most definitely do).
So can you really accuse me of something
(An act I have not consented to,
Mind you)
I have yet to do,
When you-
Just as guilty-
Have done the same?
