Who I tried to be didn't line up to who I was to you.
And in trying, for a moment I lost myself.
I spent way too much time thinking of ways to please you.
All in vain, because you were more pleased somewhere else.
Its crazy how we can be so driven by emotion, that we miss the signs that are right in front of our face.
But now that my eyes have been opened, I see that in your life, I have no place.
