A Fighters Curse (Completed)

More than a little problem..

I finally looked over at Jess. She slept like an angel. Her blonde curls in her face I wanted to move her hair knowing I had to drive more. I then look at the problem I had:

The gas light shone bright warning me that this car was gonna stop working.

Greenery surrounded us. The trees passing by. It was so....peaceful. Moments like this were hard to find. I looked ahead and slammed on the brakes.

A monster hunter van sat in the middle of the road.

"Hey look who it is." I stare at the monster hunters that stare at me. I made it obvious. I missed the times sitting in the cottage listening to my mother tell stories and me and Gizmo watching her with full confidence believing every word.

This was life. Life wasn't peaceful except for the moment...only moments ago.

"Come on out sweetheart. Just make it easy." I hear the men call. I go to the glove department grabbing my pocket knife. I look back at Jess and then look at my situation. I could take the easy way out and give myself in...but I wasn't an easy person: I was a stubborn witch..no a daughter of one. I was proud of my title. I slam on the gas and pass the men they stare in awe, yelling for me to stop.

I felt like I was in a video game were you had to run from the cops. I then once again slam on the brakes. My breath stops. I then look down at my hands. I feel a bead of sweat rolling down my forehead. My world slows. I was a runner, I runner of the law..but for a reason unknown it felt...

Amazing.

Amazing to run. To stay away to feel the wind in my hair. Too bad I had Jess.

Crash! They slammed into the back of the van. My world speeds up as fast as it slowed and I fly into an airbag. I look behind me. Jess was alert and on the verge of tears. Her big blue eyes filled with worry and fear.

"Why'd they h-hit us?" She asks. Telling her about them would cause her to panic.

"It was an accident." I say then I feel a grip on my hair.

"Come on out Mia." He says and Jess cowers behind the seat. He must not know she was there.

"No!" I scream and scratch his hand. Fighting back in a car is extremely difficult ex specially in a car. A boy to me. I was a skinny girl that had barely any strength, but the courage I held made me strong.

"Then I will use force." He says. His strong manly like voice makes me want to giggle. But giggling isn't the right thing now. I needed to fight. Have happiness later.

The knife! I think with relief I grab it and stab it in his eye. He screams in pain and I kick the door open. The car wasn't gonna work now, I would get Jess after the fight. I hold my knife and the world that plays goes in slow motion. It seemed like only seconds and I was grabbing Jess we made it to the edge of the woods, our only option to flee to them, and make it to the cottage. We could do it I know, but it would take a lot.

"Need a hand?" I stop cold in my tracks I turn my brown curls going with me and bouncing off my face.

I look in Chase's piercing blue eyes. He came to hunt me down. He was in his monster hunters uniform. He held a gun. I hold my knife tighter ready for more action that they wouldn't let me have a rest from.

"Calm down Mia. I want to help.."

"By coming in THAT? And helping them? I have enough problems." Then Jess looks at him.

"Chasey!!" She says her face lighting up. I hold he behind me defensively.

"Please Mia."

"An alliance needs trust. I can't give that to you."

"I know..alot went on between us. I just want to help you be happy. Then I'm gone. Okay?" He says and I lower my eyes.

"Fine. One, just ONE move and I will kill you got it?" I say and he nods.

"Lets go." I say and he smiles at me.

"Thanks."

"Don't. I don't need your sweetness." I say and he nods understanding. We then walk into the woods I start a journey back to my home...

Okay(: I think this is better then the first try! Sorry about the misunderstanding I was supposed to update at 6:30 but Wattpad deleted my story causing it to stop but I am really feeling this now. I think this book is helping my writing...A Lot! I need opinions too! Please help(:
